Western University MSN-E Application Time!

Published

Well, I thought this day would never come, but the application period for Western U's MSN-E program starts a week from today!

I'm beyond nervous, as I've been working on this career change for over three years now. Every time I write a little of my personal statement I get a little shaky. This is so unlike me too, I'm usually cool as a cucumber.

Anyone else here planning to apply for 2012? Are you as nervous as I am?

hey guys, one person that is in the FB group is off the alternates list and was accepted. I don't know any details other than that.

Hi everyone! I just got off the alternate list!!!! :) I hope there are others out there too! Thank you everyone for all your support and encouraging words!

That's awesome! Congrats!

I've started some revisions to my personal statement for the next application cycle...still hoping for Western! :)

Hey congrats Melman and good luck! I was wondering if anyone has submitted their application for the next cycle? I am also on the alternate list and I was wondering what to do different this time around. What do you guys think?

Ucefrain, I haven't submitted a new app yet. We still have a month to get some good news! ;) This year's application looks SO much easier...mostly because they're no longer using NursingCAS.

Hey Blueyes that's true! We still have a chance at this cycle. I will work on my personal statement as well though! I like that for the next cycle we do not need letters of recommendation. That's a weight off! I did not like NCAS at all so I am glad to see it is gone  !!!

We do need letters of rec! Look under the "Apply Now" link and there's a PDF reference form. We still need 3. The application checklist explains it in a little more detail.

Hey BlueEyes thanks for the info! So I guess this time around they only require 3 reference forms but written letters are accepted as well. That only makes things easier! :yelclap: I hope people keep using this forum and post their thoughts because I know that it has helped me a great deal specially with the anticipation! It is nice to know that others can relate. :)

Hi Melman. Congratulations! How did they contact you?

I'm so glad you guys don't have to deal with NursingCAS this go-around. That was a nightmare.
