Well, I thought this day would never come, but the application period for Western U's MSN-E program starts a week from today!
I'm beyond nervous, as I've been working on this career change for over three years now. Every time I write a little of my personal statement I get a little shaky. This is so unlike me too, I'm usually cool as a cucumber.
Anyone else here planning to apply for 2012? Are you as nervous as I am?
I agree Maseca! I thought this was the only set of interviews and in fact was having trouble sleeping last night becuase I was thinking too much about not hearing back yet. I had my application submitted by Sept. 30th so I definitely think I can wait a little longer to hear from them.
I knew from reading last year's thread that they do interviews for several weeks, and send out the invites as they go along. But that hasn't helped me to not panic over my chances!!!
That's what I'm saying! I never thought I would be checking my email as often as I do. I don't think its healthy and I blame the iPhone/Droid/whatever you use. Hopefully we're notified soon :)
I KNOW!!!! I'm at work, and every time I see my gmail inbox count change, my heart skips a beat! My anxiety is driving my husband insane, he just keeps telling me that I shouldn't panic until the end of February. He's far too calm about this. I've found an adult beverage in the evening helps.
That is not correct you are atleast 100000 over
Crunk3000: Yea at first it seems to be a ridiculous amount, but if you calculate the total based on their website Budget for Entry-level Master of Science Nursing (MSN-E) it amounts to that. Again, it seems to be way out of the ballpark for a tuition to be at $200,000.
I think that what you guys might need to take into consideration is that the quote for Western's expenses include room and board, transportation, and personal expenses. This would apply to those of you who are planning to live on your own, not with families and spouses, and with financial aid being your only source of income. From what I believe, I think that the amount on the website is the maximum you could possibly get from financial aid for attending Western. I'm sure you do not have to accept the full amount. For me, I would not really need the full amount because room & board, food, transportation, and personal expenses will be taken care of because I have a great support system who will help through this time, especially the first rigorous year. We are allowed to work after that, so that would alleviate some of the expenses. Right?!
