Hello all,
Who else is applying to the MSN Entry level 2016? I've decided to create this thread as I have not seen any new threads for 2016 start date.
Hi everyone. For those of you who are wondering about interviews. I had mine today. First of all, the staff are so sweet and warm. Expect to feel welcomed :) I loved that about WesternU! Quick breakdown of what happens. First you are given a presentation the program along with financial aid presentation. Then you are separated into 3 groups. You have 3 activities to do. 1. Tour 2. Essay 3. Interview. The order in which you do them varies according to the group you are in. Each activity is 30 minutes. (I feel like the tour actually took a lot longer though). After that, you are free to go. I was there from 7:30 to 12. They said that we should hear back in March since they have interviews going on Jan and Feb.
In terms of the interview, it was 30 minutes and 2 faculty interview you. The faculty I was assigned was super sweet. They really made you feel comfortable.
I hope that ease any concerns or worries about how the day would go. Good luck everyone! :)
P.s. this was an interview- not an EAOD.
Hi all,
My sister and I will be withdrawing our application. Best of luck to you all.
We decided to opt for a program with an even smaller class pool (24 students versus 60). MSNE-CNL. Completion time of 2 to 2.5 years versus 3 to 4 for Western University. We were both offered interviews at Western. Only I attended.
Don't be afraid. Nervousness is natural when talking to people of higher authority. But they are all extremely personable and hilarious.
Hello!
I'm a current student and was part of EAOD last year so I'm sure the process is pretty similar.
If you arrive early, there is breakfast! When everyone has arrived, you will be introduced to the faculty and learn more about the program, curriculum, and the financial aid aspects of it which took the bulk of the day imo. Later on you will have lunch with other fellow potential candidates as well as a faculty member and a current student. This is the time where you can ask more questions and just mingle with the school staff/students. And somewhere along the way there was a short tour. All in all, it is not a stressful day! I remember I was just trying to ask some good questions during lunch in hopes that I leave a lasting impression haha. Don't be nervous, just be yourself and have a good attitude (and dress to impress ). Good luck!
Thank you so much for that information! I also want to leave a good impression and hopefully the questions I came up with are good enough lol. :)Hello!I'm a current student and was part of EAOD last year so I'm sure the process is pretty similar.

Hi everyone,
I also had a regular interview. FatimaUrquilla above described the day very well. Our interview day was exactly like that. I was super nervous for the interview part but they are all so nice and make you feel so comfortable. Just be yourself!
I still haven't received the email that some applicants received saying their file is ready for review. I submitted my application about a month early because of the original deadline before the extension. I'm a bit nervous now. Did you guys receive that email around the time of receiving the invitation to interview?
