Western Govenors University RN to MSN

Published

Hi All!! I am currently 1 class away from completing my BSN degree via American Sentinel University (online). I recently became aware of WGU and would like to know of others' experience with the school. I am preparing mentally to forsake everything and complete the program in 6 months (at least that's the plan). Thanks for any input you can offer.

I'm an MSN WGU graduate, I LOVED every single part of my MSN program. I wanted to finish in six months but due to personal circumstances I wasn't able to. I completed my program in 8.5 months. I'm currently enrolled in a DNP program (starting in September) and I wish it was through WGU, unfortunately they do not offer one.

Hi,

Pls can someone outside united states be enrolled for MSN in WGU online MSN program? Pls I need your reply

AlphaM thanks for replying. I am so excited about this school. The price and the time is everything to me.I hope I can stay on task. My children are grown and other than church I don't have too many obligations. Best wishes pursuing your DNP. That's my next stop after the MSN.

I completed Western Governor University's online RN-to-BSN program earlier this year and really enjoyed my experience with the school Your mileage may vary. :)

I live in Canada and am half way through the MSN. The catch is I live near the border and have worked in the USA for the past 20 years. WGU requires you to be employed in the US

Nursemaple2 how has your experience been with WGU and how long has it taken you to get half way? Thxs

I am going slowly due to a busy life. I like it. I am 6 months in. I planned to do it quickly but life got in the way, and I am trying to learn something too! Some people do it really quickly, like 4 or 6 months. My mentor said the avg is 18 mths

Can you send me some motivation? I just started in June, I have completed one class. Trying to get started on C158 and really having trouble!

Jspangler1 I'm not currently enrolled. I plan to start in January. Is the course work difficult or you have lost your mojo? Just think you have made it this far in your education so surely you will finish this. Push yourself. You can do it!
