yes it was!

once I retract my interview for western there will officially be two spots available!

Still in limbo, no rejection, no communication, anyone else hear anything?

Same here. I have not gotten a rejection. I'm honestly just assuming I'm not anything, since at this point it sounds like all interview spots were offered. I'm already planning and making moves to improve my application for next cycle.

What do you think was your downfall, and what are your plans to improve?

I think my application may have gotten tossed away. I think my last 60 credit hours GPA was about 3.3, but my overall science GPA was like a 2.95. My GRE score was a 308. I have 3 separate degrees (bachelors in biology, ADN, and BSN). I didn't do very well in my first degree (biology), so that's what's bringing my science GPA down. I do plan on taking 2-3 science courses between now and the dealing for the next cycle, to bring my GPA up.

I did interview at my top school this cycle, but didn't not get a spot. After a conversation with the director, my science GPA was what needed to be improved. He told me that the interview committee really liked me and I was very well spoken. It was disheartening to hear I was very close, but encouraging for the next cycle.

I hear ya, I'm in a similar but opposite boat, my first degree was also bio and I did poorly about a decade ago. For what it's worth the WCU program director told me science GPA is only calculated by your grade in A&P 1&2, gen chem and microbio. So your old bio science grades should matter that much for this particular school. My last 60 hours are a 3.8 and my science is a 3.5, but my total cumulative which apparently shouldn't matter for this app is a 3.0. My gre wasn't good tho, a 292. I only took it once and underestimated how much I should have studied LOL..

Oh, well then I will have to recalculate haha. I used ALL of my science courses when I calculated.

Oof, well if it makes you feel better that's exactly what I got when I took it the first time. I retook it a month later and did much better. It is a very difficult test and has no correlation with how well you would do in the program.

If that's how science GPA is calculated then mine is a 3.75

Interviews haven't happened yet

also as previous poster said, they just want the required science courses on the app and the GPA is from those. I made a point to strive for all As in science pre reqs as that is one of the most important things they look at.

Yes GRE has zero correlation, and many schools are removing it.

all that to say, doesn't matter because even with a 4.0 it isn't guaranteed admission (not that one thing should be at all anyway)
