Western Carolina University (WCU) CRNA 2024

I was not able to find a forum on this topic already so I figured I would start one. I have submitted my application for the 2024 cycle and this is the top school on my list. Good luck to anyone else applying.

Cool, thanks for the info! Good luck everyone!

Could anyone that interviewed today be able to give some insight on what kind of questions they asked?

Has anyone heard anything yet after interview?

I got a call late last night with an offer for a spot and I accepted!

Congrats! I interviewed on Tuesday as well! Not receive any response yet.

Interviewed Tuesday—nothing yet.  I wonder by when we'll know for sure either way. It seems like last year they rolled out with the acceptance decisions over the first three days post interviews.

Btw, did anyone happen to ask how many people they interviewed this year?  Somewhere else where I interviewed earlier said that that particular program got over 300 applications, interviewed 140 people, and only accepts between 35-40 applicants. Hopefully WCU kept about the same ratio of spots for interviewees.  I'm already anxious about hearing back from them. I don't wanna add thinking about odds of acceptance to a program with a 16/17 student cohort if over 100 people got interviewed LOL

I'm in the same boat, interviewed Tuesday and nothing back yet. But I did the math and I believe they interviewed a little over 50 people.

OK. That sounds good. I couldn't remember what times they had on that sign up spreadsheet for starting and stopping. But I was thinking right around that number too if they interviewed 7.5 hrs for three days. ?? for us still waiting, and ? to those who have already been accepted

Yeah same (as far as interviewed at the other place, assuming same place by numbers)

I think 40-50 interviews for WCU as well. I interviewed last 2 rounds for WCU, waitlisted both times. Nobody dropped last year so no luck. This year I didn't even get offered an interview - pretty frustrating honestly as any other school I applied to I got an interview and like I said have a history with WCU and kept in contact asked for suggestions etc. apparently this time around there was some sort of waitlist for interviews which is odd. I know they lost admin and have had some changes etc so I'm sure a lot has been different.
