I was not able to find a forum on this topic already so I figured I would start one. I have submitted my application for the 2024 cycle and this is the top school on my list. Good luck to anyone else applying.

Didn't get in. Didn't get waitlisted either.  It was my second time applying. I at least got waitlisted last year. I wonder what the difference was this year.

Yeah I have no clue what's going on there or what the difference is either. As I was waitlisted the last TWO rounds there, yet didn't even get an interview this year ... yet others with same qualifications did. And I did what was suggested to improve my apps. Something more than them just losing an admin has happened there it seems. Really wanted to go there - 22 min from my house and liked what I saw / heard from alumni!

I didn't get in either Bree.
The fact that they had interview waitlists this year seems like we were competing with the best of the best. It's an even tougher challenge to be their top 17 each year. I admire how y'all have persevered and given it your all.
I'm so proud of us for getting through this interview, even though this was not the outcome I wanted. Maybe now that we have more interview experience, we'll be even better next year!

I hear ya. I liked the faculty and the area a lot. Personality goes a long way (looking back and smh at some faculty I've met elsewhere ?).  Oh well. What can ya do besides keep plugging away.  I have a feeling that starting with the next cohorts, there's probably gonna start to be a decline in the number of applicants to these programs. I think that Covid not only had a burnout effect on a lot of us, but it also padded our pockets enough to make it to where people who wouldn't have applied before bc of finances were able to now.  And being that we're not making Covid money anymore I'm hoping it'll cool down some with the number of applicants. Probably shouldn't say this, but I'm honestly hopeful that'll make it less competitive LOL.

Join committees at work, CCRN (of course), shadow, and mock interview
