Does anyone know the admissions process for westchester community college. Letters were supposed to go out this week and I am wondering what is means if you have do go in for an interview?
What is the average teas score for those who applied??
I am anxiously waiting to see if i have been accepted!!
Maybe you should call the Admissions office. I was told the same thing as the other poster, that last year 83 was the cutoff for the ADN program, and now the above poster with an 85 got a letter, so 82 for the LPN sounds like it might be possible. Maybe the LPN letters go out later? Well, good luck, hope things go in your favor.
I got my interview letter on saturday. My TEAS score was a 91.2. I know of one other person from my A&P class who got a letter, she scored an 89.5. I'm not sure what the cut-off is this year, but with the economy the way it is, and lots of people like myself who have been out of school for over 10 years taking the test, I think the scores will probably end up being higher than last year. My advice for the TEAS is the same as what you have already seen here. Study as much as you can as often as you can. The ATI book is good for everything except the science section. I used a different nursing review book for the Science section and it had about 20x more and better information than the ATI book. Best of luck to everyone, and look forward to meeting the rest of the RN class.
Congratulations to everyone getting the good news. I went in today and anyone who gets a letter and an appointment is getting into the program. The TEAS scores were higher this year and ranged from 85 point something to 98 for the ADN day program. In this economy, getting into WCC is like winning the lottery for cheap tuition. So studying for the TEAS really pays off.
Whoa a 93.5 on the TEAS? I break into a sweat every time I open that book (the math section) I have been out of school 16 yrs now and Math was always my worst subject. I took the practice exams in the book and score almost 100% in reading comp and gram/punct part. I am taking pre-req's and liberal arts classes so when I hopefully get into a nursing program I will only have to do "nursing". Does math come easily for you? Did you have to do much prep for the exam or are you just a genius!!!!????
What are the pre required courses?
this a link to the program and prereqs and at the bottom is the semester plan. I hope to get into the 2013 program. HTH

Might be a bad sign. Were your TEAS scores in the 85 and over range?
