West Hills College ADN Program 2022

Published

Hello Everyone! West Hills Nursing program applications will be opening up soon, so I decided to start this forum for 2022 application period. Anyone else applying? I applied last year but my application was thrown out due to not submitting CPR/BLS from AHA. If my calculations are correct I will be applying with 89.32 points. Good luck to everyone!

Don’t count yourself out just yet.. you never know.. did you apply anywhere else?

I did FCC and Visalia. Honestly I worked so hard to get here and to hear you don’t have enough points it sucks.

Those stats are good! At least West Hills and FCC.. you just need a 62 on the TEAS. They don’t give any extra points for it like COS does. Do you have any healthcare experience?

I do have my CNA but I got that during the Summer of 2021 and fall of 2021 I was taking 24 units and I am a mother of 4 kids I was not able to work because of that I just recently got hire at Community hospital

What about you

I work Valley Childrens and getting that experience is what helped boost my points. I was only at 81 last year but this time around I got the 8 points for acute care experience. Good for you.. working that hard and having 4 kiddos! It’s not easy.. I have 3 of my own, so I totally can relate. I applied to SJVC this year and got in but at the end of the day I just couldn’t bring myself to pay $60k for an ADN program and declined my spot. Maybe that is an option for you if you don’t get into any of the Community colleges. Hang in there though.. I know how discouraging it can all be! I am hoping and praying this is my year but if not I will just keep trusting that when the time is right it will happen!

OK so I know West Hills has a multi criteria selection however I am a little confused here so if we didn’t repeat any classes does that mean we get automatically the 15 points sorry guys I am trying to figure my points out

I think we won’t be hearing from them until the week of the 18. I call them and they said they are still working on the applications.

I have a question, would WHC hold it against my application if I didn’t submit my CPR certification as a PDF? That’s the only form I didn’t submit as pdf. I was reading through the requirements & I didn’t see it say that the CPR certificate had to be a pdf.

I don’t think so I forgot to submit my driver’s License and I call to ask and they said it should be fine
