West Hills CC Fall 2021 RN Program

Published

Hi everyone! My name is Julian I just applied to WHCC RN program for the Fall 2021 cohort. I thought it would be necessary to create this topic to discuss and talk and freak out about the upcoming nursing selection together LOL. I applied with 91.35 points. Has anyone else applied yet???

I called the health sciences office today to ask for a specific date when we will know the results. She said, "we will get to know after Spring break meaning the week of 5th April or it could also be the week of April 12th". It sucks that Spring break is so early this time, last year the applicants got to know on April 2nd.

Dang, I wish it was before Spring break! Thanks for checking.

Nope. It sounds like it’s if they’re offering you a seat and that doesn’t happen until April.

you mean people won't start getting the pre selection emails till April?

also, does anyone know how to calculate your points? I am curious as to how many I have

Someone called last week and they said we wouldn't know til the week of April 5th or possibly even the week of the 12th.

If you go on the West Hills nursing page there is a document called multi-criteria for admission. If you click on it, it has all the info to calculate your score.

does anyone know where they offer clinicals at west hills? I saw a review that a nursing student did a great job inserting an IV at Saint Agnes.. so im curious if maybe they offer clinicals in/near fresno... since that is where I live (its a 40 min drive from me).

I'm not sure but it would be interesting to know. I'm in Sanger about 40mins from there too so it would be cool to have some clinicals closer to home.

Edit: to change to proper mileage and school.

I would hope they would be close too because I know some clinicals are like at 6am and a 40 min drive means I would have to wake up at like prob 4:30 to get ready lollll

Im a little confused as to why you said Merced? Do you think it’s possible they do clinicals all the way in Merced? I live in Parlier also so that would be a very far drive. Lemoore is also somewhat far but not as much.
