Need feedback on anyone who has completed the online FNP program of West Coast University. Do they provide support with clinical placements, sense of workload and if instructors are supportive? Looking to apply to the school and want to be sure its worth the money.

Hey,

I just talked to them today inquiring information. It sounds like they work with you when clinicals start based on how available you are for clinical hours. I am awaiting a response regarding clinical placement. I was told they start working 4-6 months before each placement, but it was vague. I just emailed the actual person in charge of that, so waiting for that response.

Clinical hours though is:

N663L-A Primary Care Adult and Geriatric Patient 195hrs over 16wks / 100hrs A/12-16hrs wkly

N664L-A Primary Care Women's Health 130hrs over 16wks / 70hrs A/8-10hrs wkly

N662L-A Primary Care Pediatric Patient 130hrs over 16wks / 70hrs A/8-10hrs wkly

N668L-A Advance Health Care Residency 195hrs over 16wks / 100hrs A/12-16hrs wkly

Honestly, if they find clinical placement, I'm leaning towards starting. Really for convenience and flexibility, especially with kids.

If you are alumni or your hospital is partnered with them, you can get up to 20% the program.

Thank you for this info. Really reassuring. Finding clinical placement is very stressful especially without support from the school. looking to apply for fall 2019 start date. I hear it is a very rigorous program.

They seem very helpful and supportive and I think it’ll be okay. Definitely will be hard. I’m planning to start July 1

I was planning to start my post masters NP with west coast dallas. Would like to know about their reviews. Is it a good college?

Hey Annakutti, I have no info about the Dallas Campus. You can call and maybe get a feel of the school. I did get accepted into the LA campus for the Sept 2nd 2019 start date. Hoping for the best.

Hi !

I just started the MSN FNP July 1st program so far it’s been doable. I have my first quiz due this Sunday. Anyone else start just now??

Hi. Did they conduct an interview after paperworks. If so what all were they asking in the interview?

Hey!

They asked general nursing interview questions. Strengths and weaknesses , why you want to be an NP , what nursing theory relates most to you. Those are the main ones I remember.

How long will it take, i mean the interview?
