West Coast University Miami (Doral), Florida

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am starting this post for anyone attending or applying to West Coast University in Miami (Doral) Florida. West Coast University has a brand spanking new campus in Florida and they are offering a 39 month BSN program. I am currently going through the admissions process. The staff is extremely professional and helpful. So far I am very impressed. Getting into nursing school in South Florida is very competitive and WCU is helping to make this a seamless process for me.

Please voice your thoughts, comments etc.

Specializes in MICU.

I did one semester here at WCU but got the acceptance to MDC nursing program.. You can definitely tell the difference in teaching. I feel much more confident that I am learning and retaining the information in MDC rather than WCU. The teachers are like night and day. WCU told me to not even apply to MDC because "they only accept the cream of the crop and to not worry that I would be back." So rude. I'd say to look into other schools if you can.

What are your stats of getting accepted into MDC's program ?! Like your gpa and hessi score etc

Hello All... I'm planning on attending West Coast University in Miami..I just wanted to know from former students were they able to find a job and overall how is the school

Hi all,

I'm a WCU Miami alumni and I have a bunch of notes from school that I want to get rid of, but would rather give it to someone, since it may very well help. If interested, message me. Also, for those wondering, I had a great time at WCU. It really is a pretty great school and the staff and professors are extremely caring and thorough. Take advantage of their International programs and be active in Clinicals, it'll still be challenging, but it will be worth it!

hello anyone applying for spring 2018?

hello Nathalie-123 I actually am enrolled in the spring of 2018! so excited for my journey ahead!

Hi,I just checked out the school a week ago thinking about enrolling. How is the program so far and how does the admission process works,I know they have test you have to take and I want to know about how what is the passing score for their TEAs V test and also their Tuition price. Thank you

I graduated from west coast university last fall. They are an excellent program. Definitely will become a name here in south Florida. The teas isn't hard. You can get a scholarship based on your scores. So study and do your best. The program is expensive. Not sure how much now since there was a change in tuition right before I graduated. But you can get all that info for free from their website or from an advisor. Edwin is personally my fav. He was my advisor and I love him. Very honest. And I appreciated that.

Thank You so Much,I also have another Question... I know nursing school isn't easy but how was their program is it doable with a partime job or will I have to stop work...Im also a mother of an 4 year old as well

Hi! I am having a hard time choosing to go to West Coast. Do they help you get a job at a hospital after you graduate? Do you think it is worth the money to go this school? Thank you so much!

Anyone planning to start Winter 2019?
