My first two attempts I worked full time... This will be my 3rd attempt & I took a leave... I have friends who worked full-time and passed I guess it depends on the person.... Only you know what you can handle...good luck my dear.
Thank you for the reply Saldridge. I thought about it all evening, I think I will put in a leave of absence request tomorrow, and schedule my test for at least 3 weeks from now. Work is great, I love it, but i think this being the most important exam in my life so far, I shouldn't sabotage it by working and exhausting myself, when I could use that energy and study.
I guess I made up my mind lol :)

For how long did you take the leave this time?? My fiance thinks 2 weeks is not enough. He said 30 days... but I don't see that being approved..
I always remind my husband I didn't marry for money therefore, I studied and worked FULL TIME because I couldn't afford a leave of absence!!! It is doable, but it takes discipline to buckle down and study. Even though I had failed after several attempts, I studied more this last time and was focused and didn't have the distractions that kept me from passing before. I passed July 2016 and I definitely had a different mind set this time. I studied Kaplan and did their free online seminars and that really helped. I took the LPN NCLEX. GOOD LUCK and don't give up.
Because I had no idea when I would get my ATT, I studied from the time I graduated school until I couldn't take it anymore. My time frame went like this: graduated mid-June, got my ATT on a Monday at the beginning of August and took my NCLEX (and passed) the Thursday after. I happened to switch a schedule to cover for someone on that Monday (and I only had one more day left in my week, which was Tuesday) and I called off that Tuesday to get my bearings (I had gotten so burned out from studying that I needed to get things back together in 3 days and that was terrifying).
So, no, I don't think you need to take an LOA for a few weeks to study and pass the NCLEX. I just needed one sick day. But, I had already steady been studying for far too long than one would need to. Of course I felt like I wasn't ready. You never feel ready. You just gotta do it.

Is it doable? I just received my ATT and I'm debating whether or not to take a leave of absence from work for a few weeks.
What do you guys think?
