There were soooo many people there. I mean I think I saw 200+ people there and had to stand in line for an hour plus for each position. Twhe speed interviews were a great experience and I actually enjoyed them.
If I were to work in Georgia this is probably the company I would aim for.
I was wondering how mass recruiting like this works. Unless you are stellar, there is no way they are going to remember your face. I guess its all based on the resume you hand them?
How long does it take to get a call back? With so many applicants I would assume it takes forever?
I have another job offer standing and I feel bad for asking them to wait.

I think it just depends. I'm assuming you're referring to the one this past Saturday. I saw ppl who were offered a position in ICU at AMC on the spot and they were not interviewed until late afternoon. I know other classmates who interviewed who had great interviews and were just told they would here something Monday. Then other classmates were told 2-3 weeks. There were actually over 300 ppl there and the longest lines were Kennestone, AMC and some others that had long lines in L & D I did 6 interviews and was there from 830-330. I even interviewed in med surg just to get my foot in the door. I'm sure with all those ppl it came down to which person interviewed you.
Wow! They were hiring new grads on the spot! Kudos to all those folks, their interviewing skills must of been amazing.
Good luck to you JMAS.
Thanks, good luck to you. I'm still hoping to hear from piedmont atlanta but kennestone is my first choice. I applied to Grady as well but nothing in the past 2 weeks.

What kind of questions did they ask? I have an interview at Kennestone in a few weeks. I heard they ask a ton of scenario questions.
For AMC I think it depends on the department and also who interviews you. ICU asked general questions then you had to pick a condition out of the five they gave you and go through everything from pathology to nursing process. ED same thing except the interviewer I had gave you 4 pt and you had to prioritize what order you would see them. I had a friend there who interviewed for ED as well and she didn't get any scenario questions.
