I have an interview coming up for the Wellstar New Grad Residency. Anyone know what the interview process is like? Also, what the residency process is like? The recruiter told me that multiple managers would be at the interview but did not specify specialties or which wellstar hospitals would be there. Any advice about the interviewing process or about the residency program in general would be awesome! Thanks!
I applied with Wellstar two weeks ago for their new grad residency. They called to schedule an interview about 3 days after I applied. It was a panel interview but very relaxed. The staff was very nice. The questions they asked were identical to what has been mentioned in previous comments. They called to make an offer the same day. They have a class starting every six weeks . At this time they are offering 10,000 sign on bonus for new grads. However you have to work for them for two years. If you elect not to receive the bonus. The contract is only one year. Just thought this info would be helpful. Good luck in your nursing career!
Hope someone sees this! I am currently an LPN with wellstar. I am on my last semester and will hopefully become an RN this May 2017. I am looking into the new grad residency program. When is one suppose to apply? And I am also hesitant to do this program. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks!
I interviewed on Wednesday and received a call back today, Friday. They told me that I would be receiving a call Monday regarding more information about units that want to offer a job. Have you heard anything yet?
Wow, this is exciting and to think you didn't think you did well. What was the outcome eager to hear and learn more details? Oops, best of luck/prayers for you.
That's how it was for me as well. Once I expressed my interest in one area, the rest of the interviewers did not seem to be engaged. I think that's just the nature of it. They try to have everyone in the room so that they can have different managers decide on who they like best.I did receive a job offer via e-mail for a position at Kennestone. It is on a unit that I was interested in. Best of luck to you!!
Wow, was that the location you wanted because that's close to where my family lives and it appears to be a very nice new hospital with up to date equipment. One of our family friends had a baby there in August. How are things going for you?
When I got the offer, they sent me everything via e-mail. I never received a call. My best suggestion for you all is to call them for a follow up. They are really busy so it may be hard to keep track of everyone.
It has to be our priority to ensure the recruiter remembers us or make sure they know we are on top of our career/interest. Very good advice MissRN2016, I will remember this!
