Well, I got my letter

and the school screwed up big time! They lost my transcripts, claiming that I had yet to take A&P1. I'm pissed! They better fix it. I called 3 times to verify that all of the documents needed were received. Let's see what they have to say for themselves tomorrow.

Good thing I'm on cloud 9 with this engagement ordeal.

Bummer! It's frustrating when you do everything your suppose to and a monkey wrench from the other side comes to hit you upside the head. I'm sure that they will get it all sorted out for you. Congratulations on the engagement! Don't let this knock you off cloud-9!

Ugh, I had the exact same thing happen to me last year. The records office at my school lost my transcripts from my other school. It would have meant me not getting in if I hadn't been very persistent about getting the situation resolved. Luckily, I did and will be starting my 2nd year in the fall. Good luck to you!

I am so sorry. I know it is very frustrating. I didn't have my transcript lost, but I did have an incident that caused me to FREAK!!!

I receive my letter, certified and addressed to me, and when I opened the letter to read it, I got so excited because it said that I was accepted. THEN...I noticed the name on the letter. It was not mine, it was someone who lived about an hour and a half away! I immediately went to the school and talked to the secretary who got upset because "they worked so hard to not make any mistakes!" Well, they screwed up at least 2 letters (mine and the person who was in my envelope,) but the good news was that I was still accepted. I gave my answer to them right then and there, so they couldn't come back and say "wait a minute...!!"

Hopefully, they will get yours straightened out very soon and give you even more happy news! 2 times the blessings- won't that be great?!?

I didn't get in. I'm upset, but trying to get on with school. It's so frustrating not having been accepted due to someone elses mistake. If I apply to the same school next year, I'll be sure to personally hand in my paperwork. I'll get a signature from the secretary too, so I won't get screwed twice.

I am so sorry! That is such a shame to get screwed like you did. Keep your chin up, it will work out for the best. You sound like you have a good attitude about it, and the fact that you have such a supportive person helping you get through this time is a good thing.

Yes, make sure that you do what needs to be done to ensure this doesn't happen next time. I have personally handed in everything sent to me that had to be sent back, just to keep mistakes from happening. Especially since they sent me someone else's letter originally!! :uhoh3:

I am so sorry Johnna quest! I personally know what its like getting a letter that says you did not get in! Keep your chin up, I know it's hard, but it sounds like you have a great guy for support, just like me! And remember, everything happens for a reason!

Officially im a newbie but Ive been reading along everyday. I was hoping someone knew specifics about miami-dade's program. Ive applied for their accelerated program but havent heard anything. Everyone around me has heard one way or the other and getting information out of the secretary is killer. Any info would help...thanks
