I did not see any thread on November 2009 support group, so I decided to form a forum for us to share our view, plan and how to pass for the test first time. As we all prayer for each other to continue with this journey I wish everyone who is taking NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-LVN/LPN.
Join the excellent group!!:hrns&wlcm:
Good luck to everybody testing in November.
Here is the plan and we have a month.
Finish the NCBSN online NCLEX review
Do the whole Saunders CD (fourth edition)
Do the Exam cram CD (1000 questions)
Do the Pharmacology Success book (over 1000 questions)
Do the Med-surgical Success Book (1000 questions)
Do the NCLEX 3500 and with all the prayers to pass this NCLEX.
"Holy Spirit,
Thou make me see everything
and show me the way to reach my ideal.
You who will give the divine gift
to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me
and who are in all instances of my life with me.
I, in this short dialogue, want to thank You for everything
and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from You
no matter how great the material desire may be.
I want to be with You and my loved ones in Your perpetual glory, Amen

Hey guys!
I will also be taking my NCLEX exam this November, (late November) and i'm starting to feel the pressure and anxiety.
I'm using Saunders, Kaplan NCLEX-RN Strategies 2010, and I have just recently bought LaCharity's prioritization book (i'm going to start reading it this weak) and I'm also planning to answer some questions from the HESI CD-Program. I want to do the kaplan q-bank but unfortunately it is way too expensive for me; I'm thinking of doing the 3 weeks NCSBN for 50 bucks; but i'm wondering if its worth it?
at the moment I have just finished the Kaplan strategy and my result on the book (180 questions) I averaged out at 67% and on the CD (180 questions) i averaged out at 62% and right now I'm feeling uneasy for having such a low score...
any suggestions?
Thanks!
Good luck to all of us taking it this November!
Pray pray pray
I have a feeling I'm going to take this November! But still waiting for my eligibility/ATT.Anyway, what are your preparations, guys? My anxiety level starts to rise. I'm already done with my Kaplan review course but I know I need to study more! My scores were really bad...
Here are my scores during my review:
Readiness test - 73%
QT1 - 78%
QT2 - 77%
QT3 - 69%
QT4 - 75%
QT5 - 66%
QT6 - 69%
QT7 - 77%
SE - 73%
Will these scores pass the nclex? I know these were too low... I'm planning to take QTs again but for now, I'm scanning my Saunders comprehensive book for the content.
kaplan percentages are different than what you were used to back in nursing school. those are actually pretty high percentages. i passed with only 61% on my readiness test. so yeah... best of luck!! and that goes to all the takers on november. :)
First of all pick one or two study book or guide and do question after question. Make sure you view each rationale and get an understanding of why you got the answer right or wrong, because if you miss one question the rational can help answer another question. Study when you are most alert. I will say study as many hrs. as you can but when you start to loose focus put the book down or disc what ever you may be using. Also I will suggest using a dics because it will get you use to using the computer more and give you more practice for the nclex exam. Maybe start with an easy area and build your confidence up alternate between easy, mod, and hard. Do not give up like I said get one or two disc and do question........................................... really that much you can do it. I did not mean to be so lengthy but keep me posted as you get closer to your test date. Prayer is the real answer, God is good all the time.
I scheduled my exam today toward the end of November and i hope that this will be it for me and my journey of this exam. I just took an exam on exam cram and i got 86% so that makes me feel real good. I am basically just doing questions now for this week until next week when i do more review and more questions.
