and show me the way to reach my ideal.
You who will give the divine gift
to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me
and who are in all instances of my life with me.
I, in this short dialogue, want to thank You for everything
and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from You
no matter how great the material desire may be.
I want to be with You and my loved ones in Your perpetual glory, Amen

Hi May Test Takers,:yeah:
:yeah:
This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be gland in it... On May 18, 2010 I will take and pass the NCLEX RN, and then go on a vacation with my kids for the summer. Good luck to all the May test takers, this test is not easy; it is a battle that we all have to fight if we want to become nurses and by the grace of God we shall overcome. I am currently using NCLEX-RN 3500, Kaplan QB, and straight A's in Medical Surgical Nursing.

[color=#5e5b71]through christ our lord.
[color=#5e5b71]st. joseph of cupertino, pray for us.
[color=#5e5b71]amen.
i love this prayer and i will definitely:up: be using it, you have to be specific in your prayers.
Thanks for the congratulations! I was required to do ATI exams as part of my nursing program, so I used the books and practice tests to study for the NCLEX. I do think that the ATI tests were very similar to the NCLEX itself. I didn't use any other materials. I have to say though, I've always been a really good test taker, so that was the best route for me. I can advise that if you are shaky at taking tests it may be beneficial to try to simulate the test taking experience as much as you can. Yes, content is extremely important (obviously), but feeling at ease in front of the computer in a quiet room with questions flashing at you is very important also. I keep reading posts about people getting psyched out by the test itself, so do anything you can to make yourself more comfortable with the format. Read the questions and understand what they are asking, but don't read further into the questions than that. Most importantly, tell yourself over and over again that YOU CAN DO THIS!
From what I understand about the test, the computer uses your previous responses to pick out your weak areas and ask you more questions geared towards these areas, so despite the fact that it's really not fun to admit to yourself what you suck at, I highly advise it.
I have to be pretty vague about the content, because of the confidentiality agreement, but I can say that I felt that a lot of the questions required me to take different factors into account and analyze information before making a decision. I don't recall many questions that just required me to know 1 piece of information and regurgitate it back. Maybe a med....it's hard to remember.
I believe in ALL of you, you graduated from nursing school and that is quite a feat. Know your stuff, tackle the areas that you aren't so hot at, practice answering NCLEX style questions in front of the computer, and you'll be fine. I'll be cheering for everyone :)
Brooknicole84, I know the feeling. Unfortuanately, you will probably feel like vomiting when you leave too....it really sucks to leave thinking that you didn't answer anything right. I know that's how I felt, at least. I don't know how your scores translate into test readiness, but my fingers are crossed for you!

Good luck everyone! I just took the NCLEX-RN on Satudary, May 1st. 75 questions later, the screen shut off. I was shocked because the test went really fast for me, I was done in about 40 minutes. I've been getting the 'good' pop-up on pearson vue, so hopefully all is well. I've double checked some of my answers, and so far all but one have been correct, so I have a good feeling. Hopefully I will find out within the next few days for sure. My fingers are crossed for all of you!
