Hello!
I am trying to figure out what "weighted" means when it comes to GPA. I currently have a 3.17 GPA after factoring my prerequisites for the nursing program I am working towards.
Any knowledge on this?

Weighted means putting more value (weight) on one portion of you classes than others. For example, if the school puts more weight on you science GPA over the other classes, they may weight Science GPA 75%/other 25%. Science GPA: 3.6, Other 3.2 Your weighted GPA would be (3.6x.75)+ (3.2x.25)= 2.7+0.8= 3.5 weighted GPA
You would need to call the school to find out what they are weighting (and what classes are included) and the percentage of weighting.
