Hello fellow nurses!
So I failed my first attempt about 5 months ago. Took a break to just enjoy life after that.
Came back to studying just this month. And bought uworld dt all the amazing things I've been hearing. Currently, uworld has been my main resource.
Anyways, I'm kind of nervous cause I'm nearing the end of my uworld qbank and I'm getting like mid 50s... I've read through the ones I got wrong... trying to understand than to memorize.
I have hurst... went through the book here and there to brush up on content I didn't know. I hated the qbank. It was dry and eh crappy rationales compared to uworld.
I've done 1600 qs and avging 68%. But seriously the questions I've been getting near the end of the bank are just so weird. Ugh. And like weird pharm meds that I have never heard of... so I'm trying to puzzle their diagnosis from the question to determine what the heck it does.
I'm kind of nervous for situations like above and wondering if Uworld is enough? Anyways... any advise or what I should really look at before writing the test? I'm going to look at some EKG stuff but seriously, I only internalised the crazy ones (vfib, pulseless vtach, asystole, torsade de pointe).

Hey there,
I just took my test for the second time and i'm fairly certain I passed. I left the test feeling confident and I got the good pop up! Anyways, don't worry about your scores! 50's-60's is great, that's around where I was too. Two weeks before my test I used that week to go through my Saunders book and review anything I wasn't super confident on. The week before my test I focused on questions and did 175 Q's from UWorld per day, I think this helped the most- just to be able to quickly analyze the questions one after another without freaking out. Then I took the last two days before my test to review my Uworld notebook where I had written all my notes from the rationales, and made sure my labs were down. Also make sure you have time to RELAX before the test and convince yourself that you've prepared enough and you know your stuff. This is just an idea of what I did, the bottom line is though don't follow anyone else's study plan, you know how you have prepared so far and what will help you out the most at this point. Follow your instincts and know that you've got this!
Good luck :)
congrats

I highly recommend you to review the 35 pages study guide floating on this website, especially the infection control. Relax on the day before the exam, don't study anymore - at this point you either know it or you don't. The day of the exam, tell yourself that you got everything under control, go in there and kill that exam. Pray, be confident, read carefully, and don't change your answer. You'll do great, Good luck to you!
Thank you for the advice, I will look through my wrong answers, I printed out the notes I made in uworld and reading them over... Probably go through hurst subject areas that still are a bit unclear to me and then that is all. I feel more confident than the last time.
