I think working 7 days per week is a bad idea. You need time to yourself to refresh and sleep!

I think if you want to invest in the time and effort of nursing, you need to focus on nursing. Nursing school is a lot of work. Nursing itself is a lot of work, and it takes awhile to learn everything. I can't imagine working part time as a nurse with another full time job that is non nursing.

I am currently enrolling in nursing school. I have a degree in another field as well, but nursing is my dream. I was wondering is there any way that I can work my other job Monday thru Friday, and then work Saturday and Sunday as a home phone nurse?? Like a triage nurse at home. Please help. Thanks.

Nursing may be your dream, but I think you're being a bit unrealistic about what nursing is all about.

Telephone triage nurses need to be very good at assessing a situation and advising callers how to handle situations.

You can't do this until you've actually gotten experience. And before you get said experience, you have to pass your nursing program and then pass NCLEX.

Nursing isn't a retail job where you can do middle management with just a little extra training. You're responsible for human lives. You shouldn't WANT to do something as autonomous as telephone triage before you are able to work without killing someone.
