I live in Fort Worth, and currently work weekend double shifts at a nursing home.

Are you willing to work two 12-hour weekend shifts and get paid for 32 hours? If so, I know of a couple of places that might be hiring. Be advised that these facilities are all located in Fort Worth and the Mid-Cities area.

2 12 hr shift and get paid for 32 hrs...now is that a deal or what?I have always worked 12 hr shifts so am used to them.I wouldnt mind driving to ft worth or the mid cities since it would be 2 days a week only and on the weekend theres no traffic so it would be cool.

I really appreciate this, commuter

No one has mentioned this but I have noticed many nursing homes trying to get away from the 16 hour double. Many no find enough Part Timers and such to avoid long shifts. Apparently there is an abundance of research out there concerning the danger of 16 hour shifts and how it leads to errors, mistakes and lapses in judgment.

Never actually saw the research myself but even my facility has limited OT to a 4 hour shift instead of an 8 hours shift. Shrug.

Emerald Hills is the name of a facility in North Richland Hills that is hiring for that shift. While I don't know their telephone number, you can google it.
