It was so hot yesterday, up to 85 with 70% humidity. Ugh. Today should be in the 70s, let us hope.
Youngest ds and I went for a bike ride in the morning, before it got too hot. I did some weeding and planted some dallies we were gifted. I didn't do too much after because of the heat. I forgot to register for Trivia, so that didn't happen. I was up early, at 4 am, with achy joints and an irritating cough. The smoke has moved back in.
Yes, I do seem to be doing a lot for the demo garden. Since dh has started, he is volunteering for all sorts of things and often wants me to join him. The season will be winding down soon, though. The annual picnic is this Saturday, and weekly work sessions usually end in October. Whew.
I'm going to Seattle tomorrow for a Dr. appointment and then we plan to go see the new Downton Abbey movie. Hopefully, traffic allows us to get home in a timely manner.
Tweety, I wonder if a course of steroids would help reduce the inflammation in your gut? My older sis who has undergone chemo had diarrhea, and they finally put her on prednisone for it. I do hope you don't have to cancel your trip.
Joe, what kind of beer do you like? IPA is quite popular here, but I don't care for it. I prefer amber ales, porters, and stouts.
I'd be willing to try anything at this point. He ran a caprotectin stool test (something I'd never heard of) which was negative as it's a test indicative of inflammation, so it's most likely still bacterial, viral or parasitic at this point and not sure steroids would help so we're not there. Had a rough day in that department. Time will tell.
Otherwise, I'm still able to conduct life as always. Went to the gym, cooked and had a decent enough day.
Hello all!
I slept OK last night. I stopped wearing the Smart Watch, so any information about how I slept must be gleaned from my brain! The pattern lately has been to sleep 2-3 hours, then be awake for 4 (or maybe more), then sleep another 2-3. I am making an effort not to nap during the day, no matter how I slept. Today after lunch I last-minute decided to go to the local theater and watch the Downton Abbey movie. It was good, tied up a lot of loose ends (since it will be the last in that production's offerings). I love seeing the gowns. I missed seeing Dame Maggie Smith in it, she brought so much to the ensemble.
After getting out from the movie, I went to the grocery store. No Stars, I may vie with you for the amount of times I go to the grocery store in one week! I want to make a dal with red lentils, and got the ingredients for that (I saved a recipe on FB).
Dh is feeding the cats. He didn't go with me to the movie, he doesn't like being in movie theaters. There were actually only ten or 12 of us in the theater, LOL! I was amused hearing a couple of older women who came in together, giggle at several spots in the movie! Hmmmmm. I guess I am older too... will put that aside for now. I think all who attended enjoyed it!
And, when I came out from the theater, the skies were full of clouds and there was a blustery wind, hinting at rain! What a change over that two hours!! Dh says there is a 40% chance of rain today, 70% chance tomorrow!
Have a good evening!

Tweety I hope you do begin to respond to treatment and don't have to cancel your trip
Ado I remember seeing a community theater production of Arsenic and Old Lace
Stars glad it has been a quiet day
Hi Dianah
Yesterday turned out to be pretty busy at work as I got 2 new cases. But nothing else unexpected, so it wasn't crazy, just busy
After work did the grocery shopping and went to the microbrewery for an event with the political group. Decent turnout, beer I had was decent but not sure I would order it again
Slept better last night, and cat has not vomited, so hopefully she's past whatever it was that was bothering her.
Today nothing really on the schedule, might stop at the pet store after work and do some cleaning, in addition to exercise
Going to be a bit warmer today, in the mid 80s
