Tweety I do the same, something I inherited from my perfectionist mother

Stars hope today was a quiet day

Ado I don't think I've had that reaction to the prep and procedure.  My anxiety dreams tend to revolve around school and exams

NJ22 thanks for the photo

Dianah I've been using the reusable Trader Joes bags, the cheap ones, and I've found they're pretty durable

Started off yesterday feeling tired and down. But as the day progressed I felt better.  Work was not as bad as I thought, and I was able to work ahead a bit as well. By the end of the day I was feeling pretty good

After work did the grocery shopping and exercised

Today should be fairly quiet at work as I worked ahead quite a bit yesterday, which was a relief, I was afraid tasks would pile up since I'm off the next 2 days.  Will exercise after work but nothing else planned.  Weight loss may be plateauing, down only a pound the last 2 weeks, but I'm already slightly past my goal so no big deal

Will be cooler today, in the mid 60s.  Might get a little rain

Good morning!

Joe , hope you have a quiet day.

The scale is showing that I've regained all the weight I've unintentionally lost.  Even though I had a setback yesterday, I'd still like to think I'm getting better.

I am feeling myself after my flu and covid shots.  Started feeling better in the evening and went to the 6:30 pm yoga class that is too late but I'm off today.  My barber just texted me that he's feeling crappy after his shots yesterday and canceled my haircut.

Will meet best friend for lunch.  He's cooking. He's making some sort of chicken and because he's low carb, I'm brining my own rice.  I have been incorporating more animal protein in my diet the last month or so but will continue a flexitarian mostly plant based high fiber diet.  No particular reason, just want to see if it makes me feel better and perform better at the gym, etc.

Have two loads of laundry in the works and making beans and quinoa for lunches and will mop so it's a morning of chores.

Have a great day.

SiL came this AM to get Nannie up and transport her to daycare center. I heard her come in, but then fell back to sleep. She left 4 pumpkins on the back patio, which will probably confuse the Nannie-person, but what else is new.

Way to ruin a good day-----having to go pick Nannie up at 4;45 pm.

Have to go to the bank and to Harris-Teehee for some more of the things we are always using up and running out of.

Hubby is suddenly getting a lot of mail for things. Post Office advice on line says to put a slash-line across the name and address, and mark envelope "Return/deceased."

As you can see I am not particularly chatty today. Just as well, as it's just the same old same old going on here.

Hello all!

Shew, I am finally home!  I arrived at the dentist's office at 2pm, got my teeth cleaned, then was escorted into a procedure room to have a filling replaced.  The dentist said it had been breaking down, and now a cavity has formed, so they needed to remove the old and insert the new!  So I was in "the chair" a total of three hours!  I am still somewhat numb but I can feel it is slowly receding.

I paid some bills in the morning, and after I got home from the afternoon appointment I took the bins down to the curb for tomorrow's trash pick-up.  I don't have much planned for this evening, we will likely finish a casserole I made a few days ago.  I have supplies for a taco salad for tomorrow, and we have a couple nights' worth of soups in the freezer.  In a day or so I will make more soup for freezing.

We cancelled a Disneyland reservation for tomorrow, as dh's ankle is still swollen and painful to be on for long periods of time.  He just needs to REST it, ELEVATE it, and maintain COMPRESSION (for as long as he can stand it).  Thus that's why I took the bins down and have been getting the mail and doing other odd jobs around the place, so he will rest the ankle.

We had a moderate amount of rain yesterday, with LOTS of blustery-ness.  Temperatures were 55 during the day, which is low for us.  The temps, now that the storm system is gone, will slowly climb up to hover in the high 70's.  My prayers are with Alaska and CO and AZ with their recent flooding issues.

Have a good evening!

Awoke to a frosty ground, but it warmed quickly as the sun climbed in the clear sky. I worked a couple of hours at the demo garden. Things are winding down there and putting things to bed for the Winter. Next week I will take my pieces of hardware cloth to put around each of the roses to protect them from the bunnies who like to nibble on the canes. While we were working, a redtail hawk caught and killed a bunny. Bleck. I having jokingly called to the eagles and hawks to dispatch the bunnies, but I didn't mean while I was there. Nature can be cruel.

dh and I attended weed class for 3 hours. That was a long time to sit. We stopped for an early dinner at a bar and grill and watching the beginning of the Mariners game. Alas, they lost, tonight. I had  fried tofu sliders, which were good, and better after I took off half of the pickles that were on them. For me a little bit of pickle goes a long way.

The images from Alaska and Arizona are sobering. I hope they are getting the help they need.

3 hours in a dentist chair, yikes.
