Wasn't able to post yesterday, some sort of technical glitch.  Seems OK now

Tweety glad the fever is down, hopefully soy isn't a trigger

NJ22 I had a Zoom meeting like that yesterday

Dianah glad he didn't have to do jury duty

Ado glad his BP is under better control

Stars that must have been aggravating. Hopefully they will follow through on their promises

Thought work would be fairly quiet yesterday, despite a short meeting.  However ended up with a new case at the beginning of the day and another one in the afternoon.  Thankfully stayed fairly calm and got both done.

After work stopped at the library, did the remainder of the grocery shopping, and stopped at a local candy store that I've read about but never gone to.  Once I was home had a Zoom meeting with an environmental group I've joined. Was on clean energy, very technical with a lot of detail and hard to follow.  Last week's meeting was on habitat preservation and was easier to understand

Today nothing going on after work except exercise, should be nothing unusual at work either.  Planning for my day off on Friday, Christmas market opens downtown that day, have been checking to see what vendors might be of interest

Will be in the upper 40s today

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day and glad you can post today.

Stars, best friend just had his 2nd cataract surgery and sailed through.  He was able to carry on his life pretty much as normal. Of course, he doesn't have an overweight 97 year old to care for.   He's getting a new prescription today and will be happy to get glasses.

Ado glad you son is loosing weight and having better blood pressure.  I believe you once said he (they) were over 300 lbs.  Not good for the long term.

I'm feel better.  Just fatigued.  No more fevers.  I was just saying how good I was feeling on Monday and Monday night my body betrayed me with both the intestines then the fevers.  I'm going to stop thinking positive and healing thoughts because EVERY time I say I'm doing better I'm not.  Every.  Time.

A coworker that is my fellow charge nurse that works the opposite schedule of me asked me for a reference.  She's apply a couple of places and quitting soon.  Not sure why but it might be her commute.  She lives South of her and it's fairly long commute over the Skyway Bridge over Tampa Bay which can sometimes be closed due to winds or an accident.  Or she might want something less stressful.   I'm disappointed because a couple of experienced nurses are quitting.  One transferred within the organization.

Not sure what to do today but will at least go to the grocery store.  I felt good enough to do some mopping yesterday, so no much housework to do.  I could organize a little.

Have a great day.

Up, dressed, and fed and walked Tinker. The front of my thigh muscles are achey. Have to do Nannie-prep.....dress, feed and give her meds. Then BiL will come and take her away for day care.

Two hours until I get my pupils dilated. Six hours until I have to pick up Nannie. Nine to ten hours before she goes to bed. I'd like to have something better than Nannie's daily  schedule to 'look forward' to.

Going to do MY OWN laundry today. Wish I could go on strike, But I am going to ask the iL's to see if there is in any way Nannie has enough $$$ to stay a week in a respite care situation. I NEED respite! Don't we all know that? YES!!

Hello all!

No Stars, I hope the eye exam went smoothly.  And, unless the iL's can be available 24/7 X 7 days (while you recuperate from surgery), finding a place for respite care for Nannie seems the logical thing to do.  I hope your gut issues improve.

Joe, Christmas market on Friday sounds like fun!  Interesting talks, too, via the environmental group.

Tweety, glad you are feeling better after your fever episode.  Hope the gut issues improve.

I slept well last night (after very little sleep the night before), and after lunch I made our usual soup recipe, then paid some bills.  I went through a growing pile of papers (part of mail processing that usually gets put aside) and thinned it down. I also made more of the "crackers" of provolone cheese.  Then I rinsed the salt off some pistachios then toasted them in the oven.  I have a wrap recipe for brie cheese, cranberries, and pistachios.  I have tried it in the past, and it's been too salty for my taste (that's unusual, LOL!) so I thought I'd reduce part of the salt load on the nuts.  Dh just came in, and tried them, liked them toasted!

Then, since the oven was on, I put in two large yams to bake.  They will be done in about an hour (maybe two).  I got two loads of wash going, too.  Tomorrow I have jury duty; however, I need to either call in after 5pm or wait till they text me if it really is a GO for tomorrow, and if so, what time.  I at least got the home chores done, if I have to be in the courthouse all day.

Rain is forecast for tomorrow, and maybe for a bit on Friday.  I am always grateful for any rain we get!

Have a good evening!

Hi. I survived 3 Zoom meetings yesterday.  One was a roundtable about growing tea, another was a master gardener group, and the third was a meeting of a rose society.

Today we volunteered at the propagation area, cleaning, sorting, and putting the plants to bed for the Winter, so to speak. Various plants were here and there, so we put like with like. Some need protection from the bunnies, some get buried in mulch, some are in the unheated greenhouse. And some were pronounced and dumped out.

We tried a new place for pizza, and I had a nice mushroom and olive pizza. We looked around in Michaels craft store, then home to do a little gardening here.

I am due for an eye check, but I haven't received notice to make an appointment. I think I will wait until after the first of the year. My glasses prescription is good for another year, and I hate eye exams.

Love a good mushroom and olive pizza!  Sounds like you made good progress with the plants, plus survived the Zoom meetings!
