Tweety sounds like a nice day

Stars hope it was a quiet day for you

NJ22 glad you got some better sleep

Was a pretty quiet day at work, a bit busy in the morning but otherwise calm.  After work did the grocery shopping and exercised but was otherwise ordinary

Today nothing unusual at work and nothing unusual going on after work, just the usual exercise

Going to be in the low 60s again

Good morning!

Joe hope you have a good day.

Dog got me up early for breakfast.  I wanted to sleep another hour but I don't think she appreciates the time change and felt I was already an hour late.

It was a nice sunny and warm day at the beach yesterday.  Apparently sometime next week and Winter blast will be hitting us making it cold.  Not looking forward to that and hopefully it won't last.  The good news is these cold fronts have kept the hurricanes away, and they are saying that our hurricane season is ending early.  After last year we needed the break.

Nothing much going on today.  Even though I'm on vacation I might try to do some online education that is over due.  Going to yoga and maybe Trader Joes afterwards.

Have a good day.

Lolling around, feeling the pressure to get things done but having a hard time  motivating myself. Not doing any of the things on my list. Not even going to go get my nails done until tomorrow or Friday. Dog food and yogurt are needed, and some laundry and dishes and trash need attention. This rut is tedious and unending.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. It continues to be very nice weather here though a cold front, including temp below freezing overnight, is expected Sunday.

I must be in the mood for comfort foods. Twin B made a beef stew on Monday and last night I made a chicken pot pie using store-bought crust, shredded chicken I had in the freezer, carrots, celery, and some frozen peas and carrots. Tonight is choir practice so Hubs and I will eat at the church and the boys are on their own and need to feed Gma. Yesterday at noon she choked and vomited her meal but last night ate with no problems.

I'm on a mission to feel better. Started antibiotics and steroids Monday because of tender swollen lymph gland in my neck plus the tinnitus and vertigo that have been bothering me off and on for a while. I guess I'm going to have to improve my diet, too. It is too bad that fats and carbs (and sodium) are so tasty and satisfying.

It is windy with rain showers here, but temp is almost 60, which feels almost tropical. I spent some time at the demo garden, helping with the propagation team. They grow most of the plants for the annual sale, and are cleaning up their area, and putting some plants to bed. To me, it is quite chaotic, and the person who was leading for the day, is not a great manager of people. She would assign tasks and then tell you, " oh no, don't put that there." They various plants are scattered here and there, and I would think you would put like with like, so you know what you have. I apparently think wrong. I wondered in the past why that team is always asking for help. They spend a lot of time wishing for things to get done, without much results.

My dogs also do not agree with the time change. Sun up--> feed us! Sun down--> feed us again!

My GERD was a little better, up until about 5 am. I know it takes the PPI a few days to kick in.

Annie, I hope the antibiotics help your illness. I try to eat healthy, mainly vegetables, but yes, fat, salt, and carbs are so satisfying. I had popcorn for dinner last night and that checked all the boxes.

Joe that sounds like a nice day at work. Busy when you are fresh, and then calm.

Thought I was being smart, when I asked Nannie if she was through eating her supper and she said 'no'....so I took away her fork and glass and the dessert bowl so she couldn't transfer and 'hide' what she doesn't finish, as she has tried to do many times before. Then I went upstairs to the kitchen and when I came down a few minutes later, I saw food on the floor.....I told her she wasn't supposed to be feeding the dog. She said she wasn't. HA! Why are there 8 green peas and a carrot slice on the floor? "I don't know".......THEN I saw 6 drops of gravy on the top of Tinker's head! So it 'rained' beef-stew gravy in the den? Now I have to watch her to make sure she doesn't give food to Tinker!

She won't remember, but I said "NO FEEDING MY DOG.....EVER! Only *I* am allowed to feed my dog!" And she said, "Oh, is that your dog?" Well, honey, it sure isn't YOUR dog! A few years ago, she let her dog out the back door without a leash, and it ran straight to the road in front of the house and was killed when a car hit the dog, and it died immediately; broke it's neck. Hubby was FURIOUS with her because he had told her and told her to NOT let the dog out of the house on its own.

The moral of this story is never trust Nannie around critters. Damned dementia. But that's not all of it; when she was 6 or 7, she didn't like a kitten at her aunt's boarding house, so she lifted a burner cover off the iron, wood-burning stove and put the kitten in and put the cover back on the stove. And when she told me this story 25 years ago, she laughed about how funny she thought it was. It made me so mad, even though it was done by her 50-60 years before she told me about it.

She has also always complained about the hummingbirds dashing to and from the feeder; she wants all the squirrels and the one groundhog out of her yard; didn't like us feeding the deer like hubby used to do. Oh, and no cats are 'allowed' to cross the yard to the woods beside and behind us, etc. 🙄😖

One or two of the many awful personality traits she has always had, well before dementia ever invaded her brain. One or two of the many reasons I have not had much use for her, ever.
