Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good day. Annoying when one store doesn't all the items on your list.
Slowbro started annoying me at 5:30 so I got up but I made him wait to be fed. Will not reward that behavior. LOL. I was going to get up at 6:00 anyway to get stuff done and get to bed earlier.
Spoke with my insurance desk adjuster who said my case was still under review and I should hear in the next couple of days. I'm not hold my breath for a call back in a couple of days or any good news out of him. The on-site adjuster said "so sad, too bad, you're not getting anything". I talked to my roofer that I'm still in limbo but if denied a replacement at cost roof, I'm going with something cheaper that I can afford to self finance.
Did some mopping and am making a sauce for beans out of dried guallio chilies for something different. Working tomorrow and Friday on the floor. Hope it's not 6:1 bleh.
Have a great day.
It is time to get Nannie up; I slept as late as I could, and now I can't loll around before I start in with the day.
BiL is supposed to come over and finish mowing the leaves up. I don't have to go anywhere. I got an email back from the Humane Society telling me where they are.....not the street I thought, which makes me feel better about not locating them yesterday. I could go there today, but I would have to take Nannie out in the car again. It may be fun for her, but it isn't for me.....and besides she wouldn't remember going out as soon as she is re-seated in her recliner. // You know, I don't feel lonely when I am here by myself, but I DO feel lonely when she is sitting here in the den with me. Odd.
Joe, Glad you mentioned the olives....I have plenty of Kalamata olives, but one of the items I forgot yesterday was black olives, so I wrote it on my list immediately. // And around us it is rural, but the small city isn't small enough to be called rural. I wish AAA had maps available on-line. I do have an AAA membership, but haven't explored the site to see if maps are available to peruse. Maybe I ORT-TA do that shortly!
Meanwhile back at the ranch I have lolled here on the sofa long enough and have to go get Nannie up now.
Forgot to mention another new activity that Momo started last night.....She came up from her corner of the mattress and SPOONED with me ! She stayed there until I started to fall asleep and then she went back down under the covers to lay on her new blankie.
NO new activity from Nannie: Yes, the sun is bright; and she had to be told repeatedly that it is her son out in the backyard cleaning up the leaves; ....and the sleeve-tugging has begun with vigor, making sure I "see" how the jersey and the jacket go so well together, and by pulling up the lower front hem of her jacket and pulling out the bottom of the jersey...."See? See?" (Yessssssss, I SEE!)
Back to my coffee and poking around on line, first thing being the AAA site.
Nannie's horoscope is still calling for Big Romance to enter her life! OMG! This I GOTTA see! Hahahahaha!
Mine, unfortunately says that I am "looking for firm results over empty words." That does kinda/sorta sound like what's been going on with the respite care "plans" for Nannie. HUH!
I would like to remind y'all that actually I don't 'follow' or believe in the horoscopes for any reason except to see amusing (to me) predictions that most often don't come true. But it is part of my AM to see what the weather is and look at the horrorscope while I am drinking my coffee.
Hi. My horoscope today speaks of creativity and romance. I did make a delicious salad for lunch, and dh brought me a Starbucks, so that seems accurate.
I went with dh to his cardiology appointment to talk about his test results and next steps. There was mention of a possible heart cath in a message from the doc, and I wanted to be there in case he was trying to pressure dh into doing that. It was quite the opposite. He is considered low risk, is tolerating new meds well, suggested a tweak with diabetes meds, and needs to increase exercise. Whew.
On the way home we stopped at the feed store for dog food and I picked up 2 new dog toys, to replace the 3 that I tossed the other day, after being eviscerated and left out in the rain. They were very happy to have a new hippo and a giraffe.
I went down to volunteer at demo garden. Did some clean up and spoke with the garden lead about upcoming changes. She has a different idea every time I talk to her, so I keep reminding of two changes that we agreed upon last month.
It was quite windy earlier, but with some sun. Now, the rain has returned. Splish splash.
Ugh, Tweety, that just sucks about your insurance. I am sure our deductible has gone up, too. But we don't get the intense weather that you do, of course.
I tried to put kalamata olives on my beautiful salad, but I couldn't get the jar open. Oh well. dh cracked it open for me when he got home, so I have them for tomorrow.
Stars, maybe try another language to see if Nannie reacts? Como se dice 'they match"? Parlez-vous francais? Was bedeutet das?
nursej22, good your dh's Cardiologist is taking in the whole picture, and there are no upcoming radical changes. Salad sounds good!
Ugh, Tweety, I hate that you are going through all this insurance folderol. I hope your needs turn out to be covered (even if 'they' don't WANT to, if it is RIGHT to do!).
I dropped off the car to get the oil changed and new wiper blades. It wasn't due for a service for another 1800 miles, but the "it's time to change your oil" light/message has been popping up the last few days, so I took it in. I only had to wait an hour, and it was done, yay!
This afternoon I cleaned out some dresser drawers, muttering 'no, I do NOT need 1000 pairs of socks' and other things while I culled and tossed, and then bagged useable items for donation. Shook my head a lot at my procrastination (no, those do NOT fit anymore!). NOW to run them over to donate. Probably will do that Friday, as tomorrow we are driving to a friend's ranch (about an hour away), where he is holding a campout and jam weekend, starting tomorrow. We wanted to go on Friday, but it looks like there is a chance of rain on Friday and Saturday, and we wanted to go the same day our bass player is planning on going -- he is going on Thurs and Friday. So, Thursday it is! We will get in a little jamming, yay!
It is so nice to feel cool weather after the sun goes down -- AND to only have the temperature hit 72 or 73, rather than 92 and 103!!
Have a good evening!
Tomorrow's temp is going to be around the low 50's and it is supposed to rain and rain and rain ALLLLL day into the evening. It is CG's day tomorrow and I sure hope there is no reason she CAN'T come. I need her to be here! I want to stay up on the top floor so I can putter and paw through the bedrooms and all the junk and stuff and do the "No, I don't need this" thing you were doing, j22. I do so like winnowing out stuff. The trailer has been returned to the side of the house, so if I want to dash out into the rain and toss big'ol' trashbags full of discarded things out of the house, I can do that!
Hope I have the energy to tackle tomorrow what I feel like I want to tackle right now. But right now it is time to put Nannie to bed, so off I go, tra-la-la-la.

Tweety glad the interview went well
Dianah it sounds like you two had a good time
Stars it seems that the map programs never seem to work right in your area, is it very rural?
Ado that's cool that your zoo has an event like that
Work ended up being fairly busy as I got a new case towards the end of the day that I wanted to get completed, and a whole bunch of documents came in too. Hoping today will be a bit less crazy although I think I have a brief meeting today
After work did the grocery shopping and stopped at the library too. Annoyed that Trader Joes had everything except kalamata olives and had to go to another store just for that. Rest of the evening was quiet.
Nothing really planned for after work today. Have begun a new experiment, have begun mixing some of the cat's dry food with olive oil and mixing in with her regular food as a hairball cure. I figure it will be easier than trying to give her hairball medicine. We'll see if it works
Will be a bit warmer today, in the low 50s, rain expected most of the evening
