Was a pretty good day at work, not too busy.  And I found out I've been nominated for a quarterly award.

Rest of the day was pretty quiet, exercised and started on knitting a new scarf

Today everyone on the team should be back, although tomorrow another person will be on vacation.

Will have an online meeting  with one of the political groups and will do the grocery shopping

Currently reading a book about the restoration of some native prairie along the Chicago River

Has turned cold, will only be in the 30s today

Good morning all!

No Stars, what a fun-filled day you had yesterday (NOT!)!  You pore thang!  Good your dh has an appointment upcoming.  So glad you are enjoying the books.  I do like escape through books, myself.  ?

nursej22, how did your part of the presentation go?  Stay warm and dry!

Tweety, love seeing the photos and hearing about your travels.  ?

Hello Ado and Joe!

Dh stayed home yesterday, nursing his cold.  My friend and I opted to drive to the high desert for her recording session.  We arrived at 1pm and were DONE with 10 songs by 5pm!  Then we went to a steakhouse for dinner, and drove home.  It was cool-ish in the studio, and my nose started running, in late afternoon.  And it kept running, even on the drive home.  My friend left for her home (she had parked her car in front of our house), and after I went inside and had a shower, I realized I HAD CAUGHT A COLD!  probably dh's cold.  So I was sneezing and coughing and blowing my nose all night.  I feel bad that I exposed my friend and E at the studio, but gosh, I felt good most of the day!  We have a practice scheduled on Friday, I hope I am better by then.

So, that's the big news here.

Have a good day!

Yo-yo-ho! I won't even ask you to guess who removed the Tegaderm from her forehead, the one covering the stitches. I expected her face to look like hamburger meat this morning, but it doesn't. She was sitting in her recliner, sleeping with her mouth open; I gently woke her up and told her I was going to have to put another bandage on her forehead and she said "Yes, mother." Not sure if she was confused or sarcastic. Anyway, she jerked her head around, saying, "Ooh. Oooh!" and messed up the "landing" of the Tegaderm over her stitches; so, I had to get a 2nd one and apply that, with her same response, like I was a'killin' her. She never jerked her head away from the doctor giving her shots to numb the area, and I know that initially it must've hurt. I wonder how long this bandage will stay on? It is a smaller one and doesn't rest on her eyebrow hair. Here's hoping!

Anyway, hubby is out in his Ford man-cave and I don't know what "condition" HE is in yet.

It is 63 degrees, cloudy, with off and on showers. I don't have any particular plans that I know of...UH..Wait! No....Maybe I can get away with not going out for more cranapple; I think she has enough Mtn Dew to get her through the day. I just don't want to do anything today. But, I will at least have to go in and check her bedding to see if it is wet or not. (I'm not mean enough to put her to bed tonight on cold-urine soaked sheets.)

All for now. Thanks for being there and tolerating my woeful gripings!

Gosh, I hope she doesn’t try to pull out her stitches.
I’m sitting at the park, just finished a jog/walk. Our 2-3 inches of predicted snow never appeared. It supposed to snow again tomorrow and get really cold. I am feeling grumpy after working half a day with OCD. She was critiquing everything I was telling our other coworker who was working from home. I was going to sit in another office to listen to a webinar and she wanted me to stay in our shared office, so she could listen in. Then she called a client and I couldn’t hear the webinar. So I put in my ear buds. Then she was put out because she wanted to tell me everything that was wrong on the webinar but she couldn’t hear it anymore. Only 3 more months…as for me presenting yesterday, I was interrupted and corrected several times, as usual.

congratulations Joe! It’s nice to get recognition for you efforts!

aw, Dianah, Im sorry you have a cold. There is lots of crud going around here.

A toucan! There are a couple at the Seattle Zoo, and they are so beautiful!
