Tweety I do the same,  and it can get expensive

Ado I hope the website stayed up for you

Stars I suspect this will happen again, it usually takes multiple attempts.  Hopefully he can get into something inpatient

Hi Dianah

Work was quite busy yesterday, more than I expected.  I rushed a bit to get some time free at the end of the day.  Our coworker who is out had several new files so I wanted to have time free to see if the team members covering those files needed help.  By the time I was finished they had completed everything,  so the end of the day was pretty quiet

The evening was pretty quiet too.  Stopped at the library, came home and exercised, worked on knitting, skipped Star Trek but did watch The Next Generation

No odd dreams last night, wasn't feeling down yesterday either,  wonder if that  is related

Tonight have a Zoom meeting with one of the political groups, then going to go grocery shopping

Have been talking with dad about this Saturday, I'm taking him and his ladyfriend  to see my nephew's school play in Indiana.   Since my birthday is Monday we talked about leaving earlier and going to lunch with my sister.  But given the long drive and the fact that this will be an afternoon performance  means it probably won't work.  We considered the  evening performance but that would have meant  getting home quite late

Will be another cold day, in the mid 30s with some snow. The small  amount of snow yesterday has already melted

Good morning. It's cool here, and foggy. It is supposed to get up to 50, which is the warmest in a week. The morning frost sure makes the sidewalks slippery!

Okay day at work. Did another home visit to pick up specimens. Co-worker took me out to lunch to introduce to a taco place. It was very good. They make their own tortillas! I had an interesting text convo with SiriusXM, the company that has subscriptions to satellite radio in your car. Dh used to have it because when he was a sales rep he often drove where there was no radio coverage. Anyway, they had emailed me a bill, but we don't have an active subscription. After much back and forth, they figured out our old Equinox, that I sold 10 months ago, just reactivated its subscription. SiriusXM agreed that I was not responsible for that bill. Jeez!

I'm feeling bad for eldest ds. He is having issues with his eyes, related to his DM, and his cardiologist is recommending an ablation for him too. He is feeling pretty low. This has been a rough year: broken collar bone, COVID, bike vs car collision, now this. We are to meet to watch grandson play hockey tomorrow night and maybe have dinner after.

Ado, I hear you about the CDC. Some of their systems are sooooo slow. I don't think they get sufficient funding to keep their computers up to date.

Yes, Tweety, have the remodel done will be nice. And yes, car stuff seems to have doubled in price.

Hi Joe. Your nephew seems very talented. I wouldn't mind a little snow.

Hi Dianah, your soup sounds very hearty and yummy.

Ah, NoStars, I'm glad you spoke up. I suppose your hubby is trying to convince himself that he is doing you a favor by avoiding care? Or maybe he is trying to avoid life. I hope he gets the help he needs so desperately.

Soooooo, He was sitting in the Ford and had obviously been really hitting the bottle. He said he had tried to set up an appt w/ our PCP but couldn't get one until Dec 24th. (uh, yuh, right, Christmas Eve). I went to my portal on line and explained to them I would like to switch hubby to the appt day/time that was already set up for Nannie. Hurrah! They switched him to Dec 6th at 1:40 PM and Nannie has her appt on Dec 14th.

Then, just as I was finishing up with that 2 guys from across the street came in the front door with hubby because, oh, guess what? He FELL getting out of the Ford. The old guy across the street saw him fall and sent his grandson and friend come over to help hubby up and bring him in the house and downstairs to his recliner. Of course, hubby said it was so embarrassing, but we all know that doesn't stop him from getting so sloshed.

I have to go get Nannie up as it is now 2:30 PM! I'll be back later, I'm sure.

Good afternoon.

Joe, glad you're feeling okay.  Sounds like a nice weekend coming up.

J22, sorry to hear about your son.  Diabetes is no joke.

Stars, sounds like sameo sameo there.  A daily doctor's appointment won't help him.  He needs to be struck like lightening with some sort of awakening deep inside him.  So sorry.

I dusted and did a couple of loads of laundry but otherwise have been lazy.  If I'm honest with myself I'm somewhat in a funk.  Not depressed actually but definitely not myself and leaning towards a depressed mood.  I'll snap out of it.  These things come and go with me.

Best friend and I are going to my nieces for Thanksgiving next week.  She's having it catered by a local restaurant and it's pretty traditional fare.  I'm not sure what if anything I'll contribute.  Will be good to see her and the kids altogether.  It's been a while.  Best friend hasn't seen them since before covid.  Nice that they include him like he's family.

Bring on the lightning. I'm hoping to shove hubby into a one month in-hospital alkie rehab. And if Medicare and supplement won't, or will only partially pay for it, any loan needed for this will be a personal loan, in HIS name. I know that's not what will cause him to stick with it, but I'm just saying that I am not going to pay for what is HIS problem; I am already paying plenty for it.

Nannie ate her lunch about an hour ago, so she won't be eating supper; maybe a snack later. Hubby is still "asleep" on his recliner, but it is time for his internal clock to wake him up and ask what we want for supper. Last night I made him order out for delivery, because I didn't want him driving. I'd just as soon he didn't even try walking up and down the stairs! But that's a moot point, because the stairs are here. Here's hoping that when he wakes up (or more likely "comes to") he is a bit steadier, so I don't have to watch and worry.

Tweety, I just want to say I really DO appreciate you helping to keep me in the reality of this situation. I know I am trying to believe he can and will go through rehab and stick with it, but to tell you the deep truth, I am more afraid I will become a widow, one of these days.

Hehehehehehahahahahahohoho---?

Hubby- "I swear, I don't know what's wrong with me. I've never been like this before!"

Me- "Yes, you have."

Hubby- "no."

Me: "Oh, yes you have. I promise."

When he shook his head slightly, 'no', I said, "Don't forget, I've been with you for 33 years, and I have been here all along these past months as it has grown worse. I know what I've seen."
