We have a road ? to the hospital!! (6 months, 7 days, but who's counting?)
I worked med/surg from 0300 to 0700 this morning, will stay and do office stuff for a few hours and then home to bed. I tried to sleep a bit last night but without much success. My brother texted that his wife apparently has uterine cancer. They'll know more next week.
Good Afternoon,
Sunny, in the upper 70's to low 80's. Hubby is taking his siesta upstairs in his bed, Nannie's in her recliner doing her siesta-thing.
I went to the small town next door, it is a shorter trip when I go to the Food Lion there. BUT! Nobody in that town has any Afrin spray for hubby's sinus! Anyway, I stopped at another store and they had ONE bottle of Afrin. I was looking for the 'mist' dispenser but all they had was the squeeze-bottle, so hubby will just have to deal with it.
I got a text on my phone yesterday that I need to make an appt w/ our primary doc, so I guess I will make a trip to the patient portal and get that done.
Nothing else to say right now----
Hello all!
Ah, prep day, before we leave to go camping tomorrow! I shopped for groceries, took out $$ to pay the pet- and house-sitter, got chicken from El Pollo Loco (dh likes to have it, to grab a piece of chicken whenever). Then we had leftovers for lunch. Then I made a new fried-rice recipe, and buckled down and made two Fruit-of-the-Forest pies. They are in the oven now. One looks OK, the other is dripping lots of juice. I will just change the foil that I leave in the bottom of the oven, once the pies are done (but we will smell burning sugar for the next hour or so!). Later I will gather what needs to be taken out to the RV fridge, and carry that out. We will pack clothes and other sundries tomorrow. I have a load of wash in the washer, and one in the dryer.
Feels like I will sleep well tonight, I feel tired already!
The cherry tomato plant, small as it is, has two blooms on it! It is overcast and cool-ish today, will warm up in the next few days, to the 90's.
I still have an occasional issue with balance but otherwise am doing much better.
Ado, working those hours PLUS more, I'll bet you will sleep well tonight! So sad to hear about your sister-in-law's diagnosis! Will keep them in prayers.
Have a good evening!
Good evening.
Ado, so sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. Hope she'll be okay.
My sister was wanting to buy some nasal spray when she was here. I remember years ago she was addicted to it. Using when when she really didn't need to. But she did sound congested this time.
Dianah, I know you have fun but camping sure is a lot of work. Do you have air conditioning?
Work was 6:1 sucky stay late charting busy. I was in the off the floor taking my patient to their ride home when I was called about getting another patient. Gee the patient wasn't even out of the building yet. One of the techs had a melt down and told off one of the nurses. I minded my own business but I did have to tell her not to use curse words in the hallway as she was storming off.
Yah, camping IS a lot of work, LOL! It takes a lot of effort to relax!! Dh prefers to go for at least 4 nights, to "make it all worth it." Yes, we have A/C, but we rarely use it. Have to close up the RV's windows in order to use it, and the unit is VERY noisy, and heck, if you are camping, you want to see what's out there, and meet neighbors and jam under your awning, not stay cooped up in the RV (and ours is quite small)! So, we tolerate the heat, and run fans and wait for the cooler evenings to jam.
Sorry you got out late. Hope tomorrow is better for you.
SIL's soccerball-sized tumor is possibly (probably?) benign per the oncologist based on bloodwork. Not sure when they'll have path reports.
Twin B and I are at the emergency vet with Binx the black cat. Hubs has been letting him out (he *really* wants to go out) and when I got home from work this evening he limped over to me. Has a puncture wound to his left thigh and won't bear weight on that leg. I got worried enough to bring him. It's only money. We're having to wait a long time because THANKFULLY he isn't bad enough to be at the top of the priority list. Twin B is trying to convince me that since it doesn't seem to be life-threatening we could just go home and let our vet get xrays tomorrow. They'll probably have to sedate him to get xrays because they'll have to manipulate the leg into the right position.

Tweety that is odd that you would wake up earlier
NJ22 sounds like a productive day
Dianah glad the vertigo seems to be gone
Stars that does sound like a good meal
Work was fairly slow yesterday, which was good, as I had some online training to do and a call that lasted more than an hour. Was someone who clearly has mental health issues in addition to a work injury, and I felt he needed to talk to someone. Thankfully he's going to get help for this
Went for a walk after work and then drove to the restaurant for the book club. Had a nice meeting, discussed the book and the issues it presented, smaller group than last time but with a new person
Today will go for a walk again after work before doing the grocery shopping.
Will be warmer today, in the upper 70s
