Good Afternoon ~
SiL came this AM to take Nannie to Day Care. Momo didn't even bark once! Maybe she feels as good about Nannie being out of the house as I do. The peace and quiet is soooo nice!
My horror-scope says I shouldn't spend my day trying to concentrate on boring tasks, as I don't have the mental energy for it at this time. Sounds like many of my recent days, doesn't it? My mental energy, as we all know, is suffering from Care Givers FATIGUE! Is that assigned a listing in the Care-Providers Bible of covered treatments? P=Pretty T=Tired of S=Stupid D=Domesticity.
Juan of theze daies, this 2 shall pats.......My purposeful mis-spelling gives Spellcheck a FIT and it tries to 'correct me'. HAH! Useless proposition!
Nothing on my brain-list is crucial........so, "no pressure", as the saying goes. I reckon I should call my service guy at the KIA dealership and make an appt for new tires. I decided to use my credit card for the tires so I don't have to worry about that stupid "low tire" light on the dashboard anymore, I hate taking on more debt, but sometimes ya just gotta. Adulting is highly over-rated, and TEDIOUS! If we had known that, we might not have wished so hard during our youth to be a grown-up.
Yes, j22~ That photo of Belgium where you are is beeeee-u-t-ful!
Momo just had a partial cow when she saw me getting dressed, but I tried to tell her it doesn't mean I am GOING anywhere! She didn't believe me until I got back on the bed and picked up my laptop.
Pretty soon it will be my brunch time and I will go down to the kitchen to see what is nosh-worthy. Other than that, I continue to have NO plans!
I am berserk! Nannie keeps trying to explain what is happening on the TV show we are BOTH watching at the same time, in the same room. Then, invariably she gets half of it wrong, so then I stupidly tell her what is really going on on the show, and she says "Uh-huh" and THEN she (seamlessly!) brings her shoes into the discussion, because THEY HAVE EXACTLY NOTHING TO DO with what we are watching!!!!!!!!!!!! 😳😳😳😳😳😳🤯
I have to get her into her bed STAT! Good grief!
Hello!
I am a little sore today, having exercised last night. Better that than being stiff and unable to exercise!
I washed out some hand laundry, then went to the grocery store. When I got home, I made a casserole and a chicken-coconut milk-mushroom soup. Kitchen smells good! We have leftover soup to finish tonight and tomorrow, but at least meals are taken care of for the next few days.
I have some chopped cilantro drying in the hot oven as it cools, and am preparing to peel and mince some fresh ginger, then freeze it.
While I was out, I bought and mailed three cards: two sympathy cards for friends whose wives passed away on the 15th (one after a short illness, the other after a protracted post-stroke dementia decline). And I mailed a get-well card to my friend S, still kinda under the weather.
It actually cooled off and rained a little today! After getting 90-degree temps over the weekend, this is a nice change. Youngest ds and his wife mailed me some chocolates, famous for being made in their area. Unfortunately, the package arrived on one of the 90-degree days, and we were out for the day, walking at Disneyland. When we arrived home around 9pm, I put the boxes into the fridge. That helped some, but the damage had been done. Doesn't change the flavors any, though -- they are still yummy!
Yes, keep those photos coming, nursej22!!
Have a good evening!

Today going to a Mexican restaurant with the gay group after work. Planning to get there a bit early as I think parking could be a bit tight
