Tweety that's unusual for so many in that group to die young

NJ22 glad the hip is better

Stars a quiet day with nothing particular to do sounds just like what you need

Ado that is an awful lot of training

Another fairly quiet day at work, despite the meeting.  Had time to get laundry started before.  Which was good as I had book club last night, and had to get there early as I was presenting the list of books for May.  Thankfully they ended up choosing one I am currently reading.  Did something out of the ordinary and ordered dessert, as they had a new one, creme brulee.  Was very good

Today should be ordinary, except for a short meeting.  Will do the grocery shopping and stop at the library after work.  Waiting to hear back from my cousin, emailed her to discuss a tentative date for Milwaukee in early Sept, so I can ask for the days off, just in case she is able to go

Going to be nearly as warm today as yesterday, mid 60s

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day.  Glad you enjoyed the dessert and book club.

An ordinary day for me here as well.  I've been up and put a load of laundry in, did some cleaning and am marinated some tofu after air frying it a bit.  It's Asian and probably too salty for my blood pressure so I'll try to watch what I eat otherwise.  I also have some chickpeas in the pressure cooker and am planning my old standby of curried chickpeas.  Rice is made in the rice cooker.

Should be a nice day in the 80's.

Hello all!

Joe, my dh loves creme brulee!  How nice to look forward to your trips!

Tweety, the tofu (photo on FB) looked delicious!  I still have not purchased an air fryer...  I am so behind the times!  Enjoy the day!

Today we meet with our insurance agent, for a review and tune-up.  I didn't sleep well last night, just couldn't fall asleep.  And as the hours went by, anxiety rose and I FOR SURE couldn't fall asleep!  Ah well, I will nap a little today (but not too much).

It should be sunny the next few days, but some windy conditions begin tomorrow.  I still have not received a response to my email to the organizers of the festival (I was unable to complete a ticket purchase online).  Dh wanted to try on his computer, but I prefer to wait till I hear from them.  I may phone the number given, but later.  Today we concentrate on staying awake for our insurance appointment!

Have a good day!

I got up earlier, but can't remember if I took my meds or not! 🤔

So #1 task will be to fill both Nannie's and my medisets. Well, it'll be the #3 task, as I have already emptied the trash, and have started a laundry. Nannie's mostly, and a smaller load of mine will go in next. And of course the sheets and blankets from Nannie's soaking-wet bed. 🙄

BiL is outside taking down the stairs to the deck. He is "cheating" by using an electric chain-saw, and not the sledge hammers, so he is making quick work of it! And, of course I am either explaining it to Nannie, or listening to her tell me what is going on out there, even though I am sitting right here and watching, the same as she is. Then she makes remarks that indicate she doesn't remember who he is or what he is doing....all these remarks within minutes of each other, so her bits of comprehension don't stick around for very long! It's like a 'new' day every time....."Is he? Oh, I didn't know that!" (But she DID know it briefly, just a mere minute ago!)

I found the Cathedral Windowpane quilt Nannie had made for her grandson, my nephew. It was wrapped in a sheet under a bunch of pillows and sheets and blankets,  up in what used to be the master-bedroom. I'm glad I found it, because she had made one of those quilts for both sons and two of her grandkids....(but I don't think she made one for hubby's dgt), and I have inherited the one she made for hubby. I watched her many times sewing on those quilts over the years. She was really so great at needle work of any kind.

Welp, the trailer is almost ready to be hauled off to the dump, and BiL will bring it back empty on another day. It has me wanting to look for more junk, stuff, stuff, and even more stuff to get rid of!  Little by little we are getting things thinned out and gone. Soon things will be at the point where we can clean the rooms up and get them NOT looking like a warehouse of piles of bags and boxes!

Nannie is already wanting to 'do' the hedges at the side of the yard, now that she can see over there. The hedges were under the tree we had taken down a few years ago, and part of them kinda got rugged and ruined during that process. There is another tree doing the same leaning, and the overhanging branches, at least, will need to come down, but that's for another time.

SiL will be coming over tomorrow afternoon, and I can do a few errands. She was going to come on Friday, but Friday afternoon traffic is ridiculous and I don't feel like battling it! So tomorrow I will hopefully bring things to the thrift shop, a letter from debt collectors for the lawyer so he can send them the official notice that hubby had NO estate, and tell them the bill for his hospitalization will not be paid (except for what Medicare and his supplement already paid.) .....This is where we hear Wierd Al singing "Eat it! Eat it!" to the tune of Michael Jackson's song "Beat it!"

It is getting hot outside! I think it is supposed to get into the mid-70's today, with two more days of sun and warm weather. Next week it is supposed to sink back down to 55 degrees one day. Mother Nature has the hiccups....or hot flashes?

Nannie was dozing off, but she is WIDE awake now and being a regular Chatty Cathy, so I am going to have to wait to go back upstairs and prowl around for some more things to put in the 'get rid of' pile. I really should hang up and put away the two laundry baskets full of dried and folded clothes....something I think I said I would be doing several days during the last week and never got around to. Oh well, there's no time line that has to be adhered to, so I just move (or not) at will.

Blah-dee-blah-blah, etc. ------------

Joe, my last choice for my book club was pretty widely panned by the group. Even I haven't finished it yet as it was a bit of a slog. Still waiting for the next selection.

After choir practice I didn't want to come straight home. It was a beautiful, if a little windy, evening. Hubs and I ended up driving to the high school track and taking a lap around it before coming home.
