Stars that is odd, hearing from someone out of the blue after so long

NJ22 I hope she changes her mind about the prednisone

Tweety that is annoying that the various builders you are working with seem to be so unreliable

Ado glad you were able to keep that lady from falling

Yesterday started off at work with a lot to do, but by the end of the day had slowed down a  lot.  A relief as I could use the rest

After work did the grocery shopping and exercise, was thankful the rain mostly held off while I was shopping

Tonight have the Ash Wednesday service at church, will try to get a walk in beforehand if it's not snowing or raining

Going to be a warmer day today, in the low 50s, although there might be snow in the evening

Good evening.

The roofer was "rerouted because of the rain" and will be there tomorrow.  Yawn.

Had a decent day.  Cooked and went to the gym.  Got some blood drawn for my physical next week and the labs all look good.  My low platelet count remains low but the same it's been for years.

I'll have a student with me tomorrow.  She's in her final days.  I'll have to be all professional and stuff.

Hello all!

Tweety, I hope the roofers come tomorrow, as 'promised.'  Will believe it when I see it.  Your lab results are enviable!

Joe, hope you don't get TOO much rain or snow!  How was the service?

We had a nice day walking around the two Disney parks on Monday, and met a new friend for supper there at a restaurant at California Adventure.  Yesterday I walked with my friend S.  Today?  It's RAINING!!  I made the Chicken Tomatillo Soup, per dh's request.  It should last us four meals, or so.

On Sunday we had an item delivered in error.  Dh had ordered a new pump for the little outdoor fountain (the birds and area animals love it).  We got a make-up case instead.  Imagine our "HuHHHHHHH??" looks!  Dh re-ordered the pump, and it arrived today.  Tomorrow I will drop off the makeup case to be returned.

Saturday afternoon we will join friends to help with music for a going-away party.  Sunday we will have a Zoom call with the ds's (it is youngest's birthday).  I mailed a card yesterday.

Dh was just in contact with the RV storage ppl, who are starting work on some necessary RV maintenance.  Hopefully it will be done soon, in time for an upcoming trip to a bluegrass festival.

Sleep?  Sometimes it's OK, sometimes not.  'nuff said about that.

I hope you are all well.  Have a good evening!

Computer (or All Nurses site?) wasn't cooperating when I tried to post earlier.

First of all, last night I MUST have been a LOT more tired than I knew. Nannie only got up twice last night. Then around 8 AM the rain was hitting our windows SO HARD that it actually woke me up! But, inexplicably, I missed hearing all the thunder! I took my AM meds and fed Momo and went back to bed. Next thing I knew, I looked at the clock and could not even believe it was 2 PM !  I had slept VERY deeply for 6 hours! WHOA! Felt so discombobulated when I got up!

Went down and got Nannie up, PRONTO! Washed up, dressed and fed meds and 'breakfast'. I was still feeling pretty off-center. Couldn't get on allnurses, so I looked at some of the news sites. I did not listen to King dRumpf's speech last night, and kind of ignored the stories today that concerned the reactions to his speech. I will check it out at a later date when I feel like I can tolerate hearing it all.

I ordered pizza delivery for supper tonight because I once again have a sink FULL of dishes....but this time it is some things I am going to put back on shelves, AND stuff I will be donating. Anyway, it WAS neat about two days ago.....I think. And it will be again, because SiL called me and gave me some welcome news!

Are you ready?-------------

She will be cancelling Nannie's current senior care center attendance because she FINALLY heard that there is a space for Nannie at the Senior Care Center she signed up for ages ago! So, she will give the current senior care center 2 weeks notice. {They are eventually going to be folded into services which will be paid for or partially paid for by ? Medicaid or something governmental. I didn't know Nannie has had to be paying out of pocket for the day care she has been going to.)

Anyway, in 2 weeks Nannie will be starting at the 'newer' Senior Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Hours are like, 9-6, and because they are so close I won't have to drive forever in rush hour traffic to pick Nannie up. I can go get her as late as 6 PM if I need to. Probably will get her a little earlier, though, but nice to have that option.

AND, in addition, they are going to see if Chatty CG will do every Thursday afternoon (from 1-6 PM) because with Nannie going to the less expensive Senior Center, they said she can afford the Thursday charge ($85)

So, in a few weeks I am looking at more actual time with Nannie NOT sitting in her recliner all day, every day! Looking forward to that, because then I can get some of this house straightening-out done, and THEN! It is possible I can find maybe a walking club and/or a Tai chi class......provided they are held on days I can go, and provided the events are scheduled during a TIME when I can attend! But, regardless, it will be MY time! So, I am feeling really good about all that! WHEW! It's been a long time coming, and I hope it pans out as expected!

YAAAAYYYYYY!

Great news, Stars! I hope it all comes to fruition. It should be good for all involved.

Our Ash Wednesday service was poorly attended but a good service. I came home and put together a Chef Boyardee pizza package. Added mushrooms to half for the boys and me.
