Good morning. I had a busy day yesterday. The baseball game was okay, but I left a little early because I was just so tired. I went straight to bed when I got home. For some reason, I was very achy, but today is better. I will go volunteer at the demo gardens this morning, no plans for the afternoon, although I have to finish up booking hotels for our Vermont/Boston trip and get a car. Eldest ds suggested Turo, which is like an AirBNB for cars. People rent out their personal car to you.
Dianah, I hope your cards visit goes well. When I think about it, no one listened to my heart at my last visit.
NoStars, I am glad your appointment went well.
Joe, congrats on your trivia results.
Good job, Annie. That's a looong drive.
Hi Tweety.
YIKES! I woke up at 1:30 PM today! That's because after the ballgame was over, I found an old-ish movie with John Revolta, and Vince Vaughn, who was the bad guy in the movie, scary and threatening. I didn't go up to bed until 12:30 AM. But then I had to refill Nannie's mediset, and I was on-line after that (which I seldom do 'after hours', ie MY hours!), so before I knew it, the clock said 3:30 AM; and it was 4 AM when I finally turned my light off! Apparently at that point I solidly conked out. I am sure I needed the sleep, and the Xanax did its job!
Hubby just said he was going to "the shopping center" (ABC store) and he'd be right back. Then I have to go to the bank first and then to Food Lion for life's necessities like bread and coffee and more disposable products for Nannie, plus more Pepsi Zero for hubby. Was going to go get my nails done, but It is getting later in the afternoon and I just really don't feel like it today. Hoping I manage to go to bed earlier and get up earlier tomorrow, so I can get them done tomorrow.
The Braves won the ballgame yesterday 6-4 over the Mets; there's another game tonight.....if it isn't raining in Atlanta. Yesterday's game was under a Weather Delay for 2 hours, which was tedious.
Prolly will be back by here later on~
Hello!
Late entry from me.
I have been slowly getting the RV ready. I installed the mattress topper and then washed the bedspread, and just got done putting that on the bed. The bed is NOT a walk-around, but is mostly surrounded by walls (small RV, doncha know). So making that bed is a glorious PAIN in several places. Which is why I put the topper on the mattress, then just put the bedspread on and got my exercise tucking that in on all four sides. THEN, when we travel, I get out my pillow and two sheets and a blanket. I spread one sheet below me (on top of the bedspread) and put on over me, and add the blanket if I am cold and that's IT! No tucking anything in! Works great for me.
And, I mopped the floors. Took inventory (we need paper towels and kleenex). I will shop tomorrow, and cook on Friday, and pack in-between.
I had my f/u today, to my Cardiologist (who wants to see me yearly, just to listen to my heart and see how things are going). She, too, heard the murmur, and she said the echo showed mild MR. BUT, the echo also showed everything else is NORMAL! No more bilateral dilated atria, no more mis-shapen RV and dysfunctioning LV, no more pulmonary HTN. No more! As my PMD said, echo showed heart is NORMAL. EF is close to 60. She surmised that "we" caught the mitral regurg in time, and that I got the repair in a timely manner, but somehow "I think you probably had some sort of virus that gave you non-ischemic cardiomyopathy. But the medications have helped, and your heart looks good!" I am to continue on my meds and continue exercising. I am just in awe, as I thought that, once those cardiac chambers got dilated, they STAYED that way! Wow. I am so grateful.
So, we can go to the festival with light hearts (pun intended). :D
Have a good evening!
Great news, dianah!
Stars, glad to hear you had a good first visit with the counselor.
Joe, trivia can be fun with a group. We used to do that sometimes (before Gma).
I'm glad to be home. And add one more old car to our collection ? but I think my sister was interested in having it. Her son's truck needs a new engine and he has been driving her car, leaving her without transportation.
There was some nice thunder earlier but I guess it's finished.

Tweety sounds like you had a productive day
Stars glad that you got along well with the counselor and are looking into AA and Al Anon
Dianah hope the follow up appointment goes OK
Ado glad the car is holding out
Finally had a quieter day at work yesterday. Hoping that trend continues
After work went for a walk and then went to the beer shop with the social group. Only 6 or 7 people showed, which is unusually small for this group. Our team came in 2nd in the trivia contest
Tonight will do the grocery shopping and laundry
Will be a bit cooler today, in the mid 70s
