Good morning!
Joe, I'm sure you always to a good job and get things done.
I was checking my work email because there's a staff meeting today and wanted to know if the manager set it up so we could listen by phone. She did not and I did not go in. Hopefully there will be some minutes available. But while I was checking there were notifications about education I needed to do. It's all on trauma and I did one lesson that was over 110 slides and very intense. I skipped so much of it I failed the after test twice. It was annoying because each test had different questions and was quite detailed. There are about five more of these lessons to do by July 2nd.
After wasting that hour, I'm about to head to the grocery store and put in some laundry. Need to do some meal prep.
Did not sleep well. Woke up around 4:20 AM and tossed and turned for an hour.
Ado, did your kids at least have some sort of vegetable, a salad maybe?? LOL
Have a great day.
Hallloooooo out there!
Mid-80's, clouds are heavy-looking, fat, tall, and all over the place, but no rain.
I woke up at 10 AM, then went right back to bed and slept; I am embarrassed to admit I didn't wake up until 1:30 PM! But, I must have needed it because hubby said he didn't wake me up because I was "sleeping like the dead." Oh well, it passes time, anyway.
Good grief, in an hour, hubby will be asking where to go to get supper.
Maybe I should go upstairs and finish the vacuuming up there. Might as well, nothing else is going on here.
Back after a while ----
What a sloooow day. Weather is cool and overcast. It rained a little yesterday. Supposed to be nice tomorrow and Friday. Rain forecast for the 4th, which is not unusual. I'm going with sis to her Dr. appointment today(PCP) and tomorrow (cardiology). I hope someone has some reasons why she got so sick and what can done. I am going to ask for her to get a handicap placard for her car, because she gets short of breath with any exertion.
I a still waiting for our IT to figure out why Zoom doesn't want to work on my computer. I guess I could just use my phone, but that seems dumb after my boss insisted I need a camera on my desk computer.
Supper? I have one more Hello Fresh meal, I think its hamburgers. I need to stop getting those. I am so tired of their baked potato wedges. I would love to try more vegan/vegetarian options but I live with Mr. Meat and Potatoes, or its not dinner.
I would love to sleep in past 5 am. No wonder I'm so sleepy in the afternoon and ready for bed at 8 pm.
Take care all.
J22, I also have to satisfy Mr. Meat and Potatoes. That said, our one remaining Hello Fresh meal is Italian chicken with lemon-y spaghetti. Which sounds pretty good. And Hubs does like pasta dishes with a few restrictions. He's not a fan of pesto, mushrooms, onions, garlic, spinach, asparagus, and more things that I can't think of right now.
I'm kind of tired of the Hello Fresh burger meals, too, and try to select something else if it's in the line-up. I'm still skipping deliveries (except for slipping up and getting one last week) because everybody seemed a bit tired of them and we weren't sure we were saving money or at least breaking even.
I still struggle with getting up to get to the office every day. My natural tendency would be to sleep until around 10 a.m. and go to bed after midnight. Working nursing day-shifts wasn't a terrible struggle and I can't explain that except that I had more days off. Looks like I'll be working at least part of a night shift Friday to cover for a nurse who had a death in the family.
Have been pulling my hair out trying to write policy to formalize our latest Covid requirements. Spending way too much time on this.
Stars, I really should do some vacuuming if I can't talk someone else into it. Otherwise the dust bunnies are going to rise up and take over. Having 2 dogs and 2 cats doesn't help. One dog has a double coat and I constantly work at trying to get the fluff out of her fur. Both dogs are overdue for some veterinary attention and I'm just trying to figure out if the budget will stretch enough to cover it. Think I'll schedule one now and one in a couple of weeks.
Yes, Ado, we like the chicken with lemon-y pasta, and dh likes the Asian rice meals. He does not like spicy hot, which many of the dishes seem to have. I like green beans but Hello Fresh beans rubbery and tasteless. We may not save much in dollars, but I shop a lot less and there is less waste.
I will need to vacuum tomorrow. Having an extra dog around who is a fur machine and tracking spruce needles in, there is an accumulation of stuff.
Braves won the ballgame tonight.
And then Nannie and hubby had a big argument, so I took out my hearing aids because their volume was loud and sharp-sounding. I got up and went outside and sat (even though I could still hear them) until the parting shots were fired. *sigh*
It's 11 PM, so I'm taking me up the stairs to the kitchen to get my glass of ice cold milk and a banana, then upstairs to lounge in my bed and read.
I've been listening to a couple of podcasts and the verdict is now out that coffee has antioxidants and polyphenols and has health promoting qualities. Because of Americans lack eating adequate fruits and vegetables it's often the most consumed antioxidant in the American diet. Good news to me.
I was lucky my ex wasn't a fussy eater or meat and potatoes man when we lived together. He could not cook, so he got used to vegan/vegetarian meals. He had a unhealthy relationship with food because his mother was obese (and died young from it). For a short while we went low carb and he loved that, but I lasted about 12 weeks because I felt so hungry and tired all the time. I guess we all have to find what works for us.
J22, hope the doctor's appointment goes well.
Stars, glad you were able to tune out the argument.

Work was crazy yesterday, some built up while I was away, then was on the phone for over an hour with IT getting my computer to work right. Had to cut lunch short but by the end of the day everything was done. Was a real challenge to remain calm and mindful, let met tell you
After work went out to dinner with the church group to a new Chinese place, small group this time but the food was good
Today have grocery shopping after work
Will be a bit cooler today, in the upper 80s
