Tweety glad the bowling team is doing well

Ado glad you've been able to make that change

Stars I'm glad he wasn't hurt too bad

Was a somewhat busier day at work yesterday, but not as bad as I had expected.  Did a better job of staying calm and adapting, rather than approaching the day with an expectation and getting mad when things changed

It does take a lot of changes and monitoring to manage anxiety, can sneak up in all sorts of ways.  Which reminds me, still have not yet heard from the counselor

The evening was pretty quiet too, just the usual exercise and Star Trek

Tonight have what will probably be the last online meeting with the political group, at least for a while.  Then off to do grocery shopping

Hoping the predicted rain and snow hold off until the shopping is done.  Think it will get up to about 40

One of these days I am going to have the whole day to myself to clean up my awfully messy bedroom. But first, today, I have to go get Nannie up and wash her sheets and blankets, and dress her and give her some meds and yogurt. Then I have to go to the store for milk and cranapple juice and a few other items. By then it will be around 3 PM, so I guess I will go through my bank statement and checkbook(s). Hubby is out in the Ford talking on the phone, I haven't seen him yet today, so I don't know what condition he is in.

It is supposed to be in the upper 60's today, so that's good news.

I'm only working a half day today. Co-workers are off site to do training for the electronic med record. I've waded through a pile of email, mostly stuff that doesn't apply to me, but once you get on the state's list, you will be there forever. We met with financial guy yesterday and I think he has finally convinced hubby not to cash out a pension just to pay off the house, mainly because of taxes. Of course I've been saying that for months, but what do I know? I got a massage yesterday that felt soooo good, especially on my stiff neck and shoulder that I think computer use causes. Weather is mild and wet, I think another atmospheric river is coming in.
Joe, yes changes can be hard, even when we want them. I like to set small, achievable goals. Sometimes that goal is to wear pants that day, LOL.
Tweety, congrats on bowling!
Annie, I hope your computer is fixed. It is so tiresome to wear a mask at work. Our rates are going back down, thankfully. We still have to mask around patients, which is so routine I don't even think about it.
Stars, I need to clean my bedroom, too. Perhaps that will happen this afternoon.

Good evening!

Joe, you've always been quite self-aware.  Good luck navigating things.

J22, my financial advisor has told me not to worry about having a mortgage and to continue to save for retirement and not touch my retirement funds.  My mortgage will run into my 80's.  Oh well.

Work today was okay.  Just 5:1 ratio and when I discharged someone I didn't get an admission because the night shift was short staffed.

I'm supposed to be in charge tomorrow.  Ugh...

I did do the web conference from home today even though my laptop screen is nearly half nonfunctional. Back to the office tomorrow. Had a texting quarrel about whether people who test positive for Covid should really be home for 5 days if they're not as sick as some people think they should be. I get it. People are stressed. Some people probably do take advantage.

I started working on my bedroom. There is a lot to do but I'm trying to stay positive and get even a little bit done each day.

My mortgage will end when I'm 74 and Hubs is 78. Unless we make a change.

Gma was exhausting tonight. "This is not my home" "You are not my son. You're my husband." "I'm leaving" "I'm going home" "you're being a smart alec" "you're a sh!tass". "You don't like me" but at one point when Hubs patiently stated that his dad had been her husband and she had 3 kids "X, Y, and Z -- and I'm Z" she said "oh. OK" like maybe she really did get it. Who knows.
