Tweety surprised they would bring it up so long after the rule change

Dianah hope you feel better

Hi NJ22

Stars glad he did decide to move up the appointment

Didn't sleep well last night, alternately too warm and too cold.  An ominous sign, could be a fever

And I'm developing some mild symptoms...stuffiness, slight headache and  sore throat, runny nose.  So far temp remains under 100 but is inching up.  And the Covid test is positive

Thankfully I work from home and am not too sick, so it shouldn't interrupt work.  Will have to get groceries, will be quick and wear my KN95, but other than that I  shouldn't have to go out of the house for anything really for the next few days.  Will  have to cancel dinner and lunch plans with J and Dad

Will probably have to cancel my Madison trip next week, I believe I will  have to keep a mask on for the next 10 days.  Will have to reschedule, no big deal, only a one day trip

Work has been going fine, am being moved away from triage at long last and doing  just  case management.  Hope that I don't get flooded with too many cases

Will be nicer today, in the 50s, though stormy

Good morning!

Joe, sorry to hear that you're not feeling well and that it shouldn't interrupt your work flow.

Stars, glad that your husband is going to the doctor.  I would think with his comorbidities he definitely should be checked out.

I was indeed bothered by the tattle tale and that they wouldn't let me finish with the same ball I've been using SINCE September.  I asked them to hold a captains meeting to see if they would approve me bowling out the season but the President of the league said no.  It's a national rule and locals can't vote to change it.  Humph...

Covid rates remain very low here, but we tend to follow the NE in Florida, and the last two summers were brutal,  and I'm just waiting on my inevitable turn.  We don't wear masks here in Florida.

I got the grass mowed yesterday.  Mopping the floors today.  My mouth hurts but nothing major.  I took ibuprofen last night it knocked out all the pain at that time. I go back for the permanent in three weeks.

I've been having a bit of trouble with my freezer.  I unplugged my refrigerator to reboot the computer system and banged it around some and messed with the ice machine and I now have ice and seems thing frozen.  Hopefully that will resolve things.  Well see how it goes.

Good morning!

Joe, so sad you aren't feeling well!  Too bad it's Covid, as the actions associated with that diagnosis are more involved and last longer (usually) than a "common" cold.  But, I hope you aren't too inconvenienced, and that it is a light case.  Good you are aggressive in monitoring and treatment.  Sorry you have to cancel Madison!

Tweety, good for you, rebooting the fridge/freezer (dh always says: turn off for 10 seconds then turn back on -- for Windows products).  Hope it continues to work.  I am anxious to hear how you like the bowling ball, how it feels, how it performs.

We are up early, getting ready to head up to Oak Glen for an 11:00 memorial service for a friend.  We were asked to bring instruments, to possibly play together (jam) after the service (the family is VERY musical).  It's always bittersweet, to get together to celebrate a life.

Hope you have a good day!

Hi.

Joe, I am sorry you are having to go through this. It seems like you have a good recovery plan, and work is taking a positive turn. Take care of yourself!

Tweety, that is a quick turn around for a ball. I guess it could be worse and the league could invalidate all your scores. My fridge is not "smart" enough to need rebooting. I've been wondering how much longer it will last.

Dh's crown work left him feeling poorly yesterday. And now he has some other weird symptoms. When he asked me if he should call his doctor, I said an emphatic "YES!" So he said maybe tomorrow, SMH.

The weather started out sunny this morning and now clouds are moving in. I ran out to get some lunch because I ate the one I brought before and 11 and was still hungry and it was a little on the cool side. I am resolved to go for a run, which I haven't done for over a week.

Just found out the county car I drove yesterday to a home visit got broken into last night. It looks like they broke out a rear passenger window. They wouldn't have gotten much: there was a car seat, our portable scale, and a backpack with first aid supplies. Good grief. Like I'm sure a 10 year old Prius is going to have anything of value. We leave it parked in an open lot so not too surprising, I guess. Someone stole the catalytic converter a couple of months ago. Work beckons, ta, ta.

J22, believe it or the question of whether my prior scores all season were valid was asked after I left.  It was decided invalidating my scores wasn't in the spirit of the fun nature of the league, but also my team mate said the rules state that once discovered the ball has to be stop being used but no penalty before that.  Sheesh.  Glad to put that mini drama behind me.  Hope you husband feels better.

I practiced with my new ball today and did poorly but hopefully I can adjust quickly.

I got plenty else done in the way of mopping, laundry and cooking.  Ready for the next two days of work.  My crown is bothering me enough that I made take some ibuprofen before going to bed.  It really knocked out all the pain yesterday.  It's only a minor annoyance but I have trouble sleeping on a good day.

So, I am again disappointed in husband's resolve to get 'things' taken care of. I asked him if he'd called the Dr's office this AM, and he said they didn't have any appointments today. Pardon my French, but 'my orifice!' When you call for a same-day appointment, generally SOMETHING will be worked out for you. I guess he feels safer wondering and speculating about the source, than finding out something that might require a change in his so-called 'self-care.' Ppfftt. // Once he told me that he's lived a good life and isn't afraid of dying. I told him that his co-morbidities probably won't be responsible for an abrupt, immediate death; the more likely possibility might be him becoming more infirm with progressively more suffering for a lot longer than he'd wish. But you can't tell people stuff that they don't want to hear. I want to say, "YOU KNOW....YOU can make an actual difference in your health and life if you'd take responsibility BEFORE you get feeling worse."

Can I get a big "OH WELL"? (or an AMEN?)

Ruh-Roh, Joe! I hope your Covid s/s are extremely light, and make a 'positively' rapid egress from your body. Let's invent something called "COVID-B-GONE!" We could become very wealthy in no time! ?? Maybe a good idea, but might be difficult to put it into effect, as the CDC and WHO would get on our necks about it, uh, whatever it would be that we'd invent!

So, Tweety, When you go for your 'permanent', don't get the 'Florida Blue-Hair' finger-waves. It's a style that prolly wouldn't be becoming on you.

~?just being silly.~

And being even worse: I'm glad that banging the fridge helped.

[Oh Lord, Please stop me from being any more obnoxious.]

j22, Glad it wasn't your own car that was broken into.

TV watching with the Nannie-Person is getting more confusing...just as much for me as for her. She is getting the News, the Ball-Games, the Crime Shows and if I change channels ~Heaven's to Murgatroid!~ALL MIXED UP!; she'll ask questions that take a minute to figure out what it is she wants to know, and who she is talking about.  Like, um ----  It makes me feel like doing a head-shaking, frustrated, arm-flinging reaction like those of that comedian Lewis Black.

Greetings to amo-Lu, dianah, BCg, Rose, and other folks I might have left out.

Tomorrow? I dunno. Thursday is the afternoon I collect all the trash to go into the bin for Friday AM collection. Also, I have to go buy a HUGE, JUMBO box of Nannie's #6 pads. (muttermuttermutter)

Oh, the excitement----?

No Stars, dh swears gargling with Listerine morning and evening (and after potential 'Rona exposures) helps our bodies defend against the Nastyvirus.  In otherwords: COVID B GONE!!  //  Are you still reading Outlander??

Tweety, hope you can get used to you new bowling ball before using it on Monday!  Good the Ibuprofen helps the crown discomfort.

nursej22, just awful that the old Prius got broken into!!  Even if nothing irreplaceable was taken, still it's the violation.

The memorial service was good, very heartwarming.  Then they served a light lunch, and afterwards those of us who brought instruments gathered in a circle. There were probably 10 of us.   Music was interspersed with remembrances, and it was all very touching.  All total, we were gone from home around four hours.  Don't regret any of it. ?  Prayers for the family.

Nothing is planned for Thursday or Friday.  Will probably just get household chores done.  I just made our reservations for Summergrass, held August 19-21 in Vista, near Oceanside, at the fascinating venue of the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum.  I reserved one campsite with electric, and two festival passes.  We usually arrive Wednesday afternoon, and leave for home the Monday after the festival.   Some of the best jamming happens before and after the festival!  Lots of friends will be there, it should be fun!

Have a good evening!
