yup..i thought id be the 1st to starting this thread-never too early !!!;)

well guys and girls ..it is time to congratulate those that have worked so hard that have been accepted in every fall 2011 rn program. great job:redpinkhe:redpinkhe:nurse::nurse:

it is time to move on to the next fall and spring round of movers and shakers :yeah::yeah:

I did not take Algebra at WC, my daughter says ** because hes HOT! lol

*** i thought was the only one to teach micro, that is who i had. You won't need a book in his class, he has made his own notes and you just print them from a website. The class is alot of info and a little hard. I was frustrated most of the semester because i coulnd make above a 87 on his test but the last two i finally made A's, i was determined, so i pulled off an A in his class.

I heard *** was hard but i did not have him so that is secondhand info. For me *** was great, he tends to get off topic alot but I learned alot and was able to pull off A's in both AP 1 and 2.

I took AP 2 and micro in the spring semester together and did ok but they were the only 2 classes i was taking. Good luck in the fall i hope you enjoy your classes.

It looks as though we will apply for Fall 2012 together since I don't think I have enough points for Spring. It is completely discouraging, I have maxed out points on GPA and core classes, the only way for me to earn points is the TEAS test. i will probably study real hard over fall break and then see if I can up my score.

Have you heard from others what WC TEAS scores are looking like?

Just my Luck The Hardest AP I Prof in North Texas ..well coming from someone who in HS Failed Biology because of a BUG COLLECTION Project !!!! still made a 91 in Summer school I did not want to waste my party time by collecting bugs .. But I did ace the frog dissection thing I would cut when no one else would !!!

I hear points are down by 10 vs TEAS v3/4 .. I mean really do we Nurses need to take a MCAT next or what ?? Seriously..do you get that feeling??? when I am looking at these questions on TEASV I m thinking where did this come from!!!

I have never seen **, so just taking the young girls info... go for it, there is nothing wrong with winking and looking!

I took concepts of physical fitness in the mini mester in May. I went to class 6 times and the rest was online. I wanted to take something physical like aerobics but I needed that point for the core reqs so i had to take it now.

I am sitting at 16 points (only got 5 on the TEAS) and with only 20 spots there is no way i will get in.

The first TEAS i took had acid/basic, mitosis, meosis, and some other things so I studied all that and the test i took yesterday, did not have any of that on it.... the test are all over the board and there is really no ryme or reason to it. Im glad they don't require you to pass the science section to apply.

I got 78% overall

Reading 92%

Math 75% (don't know what happened, i do have an accounting degree :)

scienc 61%

grammer 70%

I would love to see some numbers from other apps for weatherford college. I will really have to step it up for next fall

SIMCR .. I really sense the frustration since none of us want to be or stay put on the sidelines..I am just ready to get the show on the road too!!! That is why I am going to be applying for the ADN and LVN program(i'll PM you what KL just sent me for that ) Fall 2012 I will be in a program(positive thoughts) and the end result is all that matters:idea::heartbeat:heartbeat:yeah:

girl you did good on that TEASV it is a hard test ..but if it were me I'd retake it when I could to see if I can better my score If you retake the TEASV and score the Math to 85 and science to 80 and Grammar to 85 how many points would that increase??

We gotta get you over that 17 point mark!!! DEAL!!:D We Coyotes need to be a support system going into this

If memory serves .. there were a few 17 pointers that got accepted in the past year

I have always been weak in Math except for $$ and Budget Forecasting,Sales Projections ,P&L's ..but perhaps(as Mr Tex42 says) in my Cougar age range some eye candy would help me conquer my fear:coollook::redbeathe:yeah:

I will definately retake the test for Fall admission next year, that gives me months to practice. The part on the math that killed me was metric conversions..yuk...they didn't even teach that in school in my day.

We leave on Sunday for 25 days, we are headed to Glacier national park in Montana and then Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole in Wyoming.. Backpacking, whitewater rafting, and temps in the high of 75

Hello Simcr and Tex! I have applied for spring 2012 also! I sent my packet in a few weeks ago. I will also apply at TCC and TWU. TWU is my first pick cuz I really want a BSN. I've heard it's so hard to go back after you get settled into an RN. either way, I will just be happy to get in somewhere :)

Just wanted to say welcome to our 2012 thread !!! Oh we hope you get in ..Have you applied at Tarleton for the BSN as well?? Weatherford has awesome ADN and LVN programs

Did you do all your pre reqs at WC???

I have not applied to Tarleton. I live in Arlington and WEathford is the farthest I am willing to travel :)

I received that max # of pts for my GPA so hopefully that gives me a good shot. I know it will be tough since they only take half the seats for the spring semester.

I think Mountain View (off 408) is starting their ADN classes(DCCD) this year as well and of course UTA.

I think you will have a great chance to get in !! What were your TEASV scores??

Yea I cannot get into UTA. so I have applied to WC, TCC, and TWU. I got a 92% overall on my TeasV.

Hey I found the 2012 thread finally! I am new to allnurses, I am applying at WC for the spring. Studying for my second attempt on the TEAS (plan to take it in a week or so, did ok first time, but I know I can do better) and then I will turn in my app!
