How were your Pre Req classes at WC???

My prereqs went great, glad to be finished. My TEAS test today did not fair so well!

I only got a 78%..... That is so frustrating The science portion killed me, alot of these things I have never seen before and I don't think the study guide does a good job of preparing you.

oh simcr i can tell you are disappointed with that teas .... you can retest before september right??

you can retest the science section only (i think):heartbeat

did you get the teas v study pack with the practice tests ??? that's what ill be getting. glad to hear that your prereqs went great!!! ...

i am taking 13 hrs this semester english,elem alg,ap1 & lab,psych. i am still applying on the feb deadline for fall 2012 with my alg ,apii and micro in progress. i am going to start cna school on mon and will be done by july 26th my summerii math class was cancelled since not enough to make the class.this will work out for me since i was going to be attending wc cont ed cna school every sat 8-5 (would not have been cna till dec 2011) this way i will have 6 mos cna under my hat when i apply. (provided i can land this part time deal i am working on )

i have heard thru several nursing educators(not at wc) or what they eluded to in conversation is that there will be a new selection type of process coming our way.. since there are so many applicants for nursing school, it is getting harder and harder to narrow the selection process by gpa & entrance test scores .. here comes the group interviews,one on one interviews and looking at those that have taken their own initiatives to be a part of the nursing profession (cna,phelb,pctechs) next we might have to be making a creative u tube video appeal speech :jester: :idea: :yeah: :lol2:just kidding

What do you mean September? I thought the deadline was July 31st to WC??

We are headed on vacation and will not return until after deadline (if its july) so i had to settle with the one test and my score. I will research the September and double check.

I hope that interviews do take place, i think it is needed to truly see the person instead of just taking points. Another thing I wish WC would do is give points for taking your prereqs at WC like Tarleton does, I think that is fair since we are already attending that college.

I may be wrong too on the September deadline..I'll double check that one :confused: Gosh Vacation sounds good in this heat!!! I think the interviews used to be done years ago and at some point just started on the point system of GPA and Entrance Test Scores. You are so right about giving points for prereqs at the college that you are planning to attend for any degree plan.(Nursing to General) I hear really good things about Tarleton! I am of the mindset right now whatever it takes!!! I am applying for the ADN spot and the LVN spot. However I need to be a RN that is what I will do. Even if it means I just bridge LVN to RN:heartbeat:heartbeat The end result is what counts.

Well I just added Internet Medical Terminology to my Fall Line up!! :clown: :clown:

You have great plans. I am 38 and i really just need to settle into a career finally! I have been to college once and have a degree in accounting, then realized yuk, i hate sitting in an office all day. I will probably apply to Tarleton also but would rather go with WC due to price.

I took Medical Terminology online last summer, it was super easy.

Your fall schedule is the exact same as my daughter (yeah...get to go to college with my kid) she is taking all classes you are except medical terminology because she is in that class right now.

Have you taken a TEAS test yet, I took one in January just to see what it was like and how far off i was, after being out of school for so long. I did get the study guide and i took the online practice test as well. I just with I would have paid more attention to my classes senior year instead of boys. :uhoh3:

my oldest daughter is going to tcc this fall. yup she is 18(she knows everything now hahahaha) :eek: :clown:

oh tell me about sitting in a office !!! been there done that got the t-shirt and wwaayyy over it..what was i thinking :eek: i have been in hr ,staffing and recruiting for over 16 years ...

i have not taken the teas yet but studying for it ...i wish i could go back in time and redo my junior & senior years too!! but now i am having to triple time my brain power and pay for not paying attention back then. i was always on the go with my friends and working at wet n wild !! hahaha have you been to your 20 year reunion yet ?? that is a trip -for sure:lol2::d some i was really glad to see .. others well you know ..shocking:uhoh3: :uhoh3:
