At work the other night, I had a family member tell me "I don't know how you can do this, it is so depressing" (she had an elderly family member in again).I just stared at her for a minute because it just struck me so oddly. I blurted out, "but I make a difference!". And its true, we don't have to just sit and wish we could do something about pain, problems, abuse: we do something about it! I know we can't solve all the problems people have, or fix Alzheimers, yada yada yada, but we do make a difference.
So to all of my fellow ER people, YOU ROCK!
Keep up the good work!
I understand why she said what she said and I understand why YOU said what you said :)
You're right. You all ROCK! lol.
BTW..how do you get your smilies to work? Do you just click on them? I along with many others can't do that anymore. The only reason my 2 smilies work is by typing it out on the keyboard.

There is a box of them next to my reply box. Are you using the quick post at the bottom, or opening a new window with the reply button on the bottom left of the last post, (not the quote button). The quick reply post box doesn't have the smilies.
