I'd like to know if anyone has attended, or is attending, West Chester Universities accelerated BSN program? do you like the program, did it prepare you for the real world of nursing, how much is the tuition?

Thanks

does anyone know when the program start (the exact date)?

i know that we've to send them our transcript by may 15 next year. but the last day of my classes in spring is may 16!! and maybe a week after that to get my grades...so i'm wondering if i can apply or have to wait til may 2012 cohort.

To jjnurse2011! I got a letter in a mail saying that i need to schedule interview, and there were dates to chose from!My interview was october 21st, and I sent apps Oct 3-5, so it didn't take long, but I sent my stuff by priority mail! Listen, just call them to know for sure, rather then wait! i know how you feel, because waiting is torturing me also!

Same here. I mailed it almost immediately after Oct 1 - probably either the 2nd or 3rd. Then, I received a letter in the mail asking me to call to set up an interview. Mine was Oct 25. I'm still waiting to hear back though.

I would also recommend e-mailing or calling. Sometimes being persistent pays off and makes you stand out!

I interviewed with Dr. Mackay and it was more of an info session than an interview. The only question she asked me was when did u know u wanted to be a nurse. After that it was just an overview of the program and any questions I had. She did tell me they have already received over 400 applications. I do not know how many will end up in the class. The only question I forgot to ask her was the schedule for the summer. Is it everyday M-F or just a few days a week?

I got an acceptance email this morning!

Me too! Congratulations!!

my interview is Dec 4...nervous!!!

Congrats to all of you who were accepted! And good luck to Hoping 4BSN on your interview. I just mailed my app in last week and I'm hoping for the best, as WCU is my first choice. It's really nice to see the thread and all of information. Glad I found this site :)

Congrats everyone! I had my interview today and was accepted today as well. Wondering if any of you are definitely committing to the program, and if not what other schools are you considering? Is anyone commuting to WCU and if so where from?

Did anyone get their prior bachelors degree online? if so, where did you get your degree and what kind was it? well and where did everyone transfer from? im trying to get my bachelors then start on this BSN program... ahh!

I also got into Ace, but will be going to WCU. I will be commuting to campus from Paoli, which is about 20 minutes. I am taking Human Response to Disease starting in January.

Great!! I was also accepted to ACE but love West Chester's program so I am most definitely going there. I have about a 40 minute commute, and am still away at school getting my first undergrad degree so I have to wait until summer for the class you are taking in the spring. I think it will be okay though! Looking forward to meeting everyone :)
