So, I am so nervous about starting the nursing program next semester. I am just wondering what to expect. I am hoping to find out some ways to prepare at the orientation next week. I'm wondering if anyone who is or has been in the program has any good advice, or if anyone else starting feel sthe same

I reccomend with your uniforms ordering them offline I ordered from a site call allheart.com The uniform place is not the most reliable They still havent made my 2nd name badge and that was a year ago when I ordered it. I am hoping I get it by the time graduate in December!!!

He does offer a good price on the uniforms, I thought, especially compared to paying shipping when ordering online. As for the nametags, you could have those made probably anywhere that does printing or engraving. I am going to have a spare made over break.

I ordered my uniforms from http://www.allheart.com, the cherokee brand (they seem to run large - I ordered according to my measurements on the sizing chart and what I got was way too big - had to send them back). Probably not the cheapest option, but the material is nice and not see-through . I thought the shipping charges were a little steep, but I did get my orders pretty quick. I think allheart will do name tags as well.

I thought that the uniform prices were good. I might look around before buying there. Is there a specific style of pants we have to have? Can they have pockets on the sides (cargo style)?

Some in my clinical group had cargo-style pants (pockets on the legs) and they were OK. I would just be sure they aren't "scrub" pants, in other words, no draw-string waists.
