WCCCD Spring 2012 Hopefuls

Hello,

I am going to be a first time applicant this June (SO nervous). Ofcourse, I really hope to get in I have been taking 1 or 2 classes here and there since 2007. I am applying with a 3.9 (I had to re-take BIO250 to get that GPA)and I am scheduled to take the TEAS in June. I was just wondering if there are any other future applicants out there.

Hi Hopefuls,

Does anyone one know if wcccd accepts 120 applicants at each of their campuses? Or is it 120 total at all campuses? I'm just getting a little nervous and coming up with all kinds of questions! Thanks in advance.

Wcccd nursing takes 120 applicants all together once in the fall and another 120 applicants for the spring semester.

I just spoke to someone in the nursing office and they said for sure 100% the letters will be going out this week!!

I was wondering if anyone could let me know if this point break down is correct? Some applicants received a breakdown worksheet for the pt system and those like myself did not lol IM sooo nervous i was just wondering if anyone could let me know if i have my points correct.....PLease and Thanks!!

60pts for 4.0

5 pts for all co-requs done

8 points for 87 on Teas reading OVerall 79 on TEAS

2.5 pts for 68 on Teas Math

7.5 pts for all but 2 of the class done at wcccd ( all but soc and govt) This was my biggest ? really. MOst people i have spoke with said u do receive a certain percentage of pts for having classes done at wcccd and then others said you do not receive any points at all ( i really hope thats not the case lol) someone said if u have over 75 % u receive 7.5 pts instead of 10 and the breakdown goes from ther???? idk please let me know anyone~!!!

83 pts even but im unsure about the all or nothing thing about all classes taken at wcccd :/ someone please reassureee me!!!! ahaha and good luck to everyone my mail man hates me right now!

I'm almost positive you get points for having taken most classes at Wcccd if you took 75% or more of the classes there and you get 4 points for your teas score on the math so add an extra 1.5 points to your overall points. Good luck!

I didn't either. But I had a dream that this thread was littered with, "I got in!", posts. I jumped up and went and checked the mailbox...and nothing. Then I rechecked this thread and it was all a dream, sheesh!
