WCCCD Spring 2012 Hopefuls

I am going to be a first time applicant this June (SO nervous). Ofcourse, I really hope to get in I have been taking 1 or 2 classes here and there since 2007. I am applying with a 3.9 (I had to re-take BIO250 to get that GPA)and I am scheduled to take the TEAS in June. I was just wondering if there are any other future applicants out there.

I see the coding on my transcript/registration info as well. I also applied on June 15, 2011. I believe it's an indication that our apps were received. When I visited the office, I was advised that my app was still being processed. I hope that this helps!

I applied to the Wcccd's 2012 nursing program in June as well. I spoke to a few people in the nursing office last week and I was told that letters will definitely be mailed out the week of August 15th as they are trying to get the letters out so that in case people that didn't get in can still have a chance to register for the fall semester to take classes over or take more co-requisites.

Just got home from work and it was sitting in the mailbox. Im so happy.:anpom::anpom::anpom::anpom:

I applied june 30 with a 4.0, a 77 Teas Score Overall (87 Reading & 67 Math), All of my co-reqs completed all done at wcccd and I have a medical background.

First off congrats!!!! I think you might be the only one from this site. I did not receive anything from wcccd as of yet. My GPA was 4.0 Teas 79%(reading 90% and math 67%) all classes taken at wcccd and all but two co-reqs were complete. I hope I get a happy letter soon. Congrats again I am so happy for you!!:yeah:

That's really weird that msRn2012 is saying that she's received her letter and gotten in because I was at the Wcccd nursing office yesterday and was told by Dr. Doresea Lewis herself that letters will not be going out till possibly next week which is the week of August 22nd. If you did receive a letter and get in I'm happy for you. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope we all get our letters soon and get in!

I was told the same thing from the nursing office: The committee met last week and letters will "hopefully" be mailed the week of Aug 22nd. I spoke with the really nice secretary there...I forgot her name...but she is always friendly and helpful, so I trust what she told me. I'm freakin out if the one girl got her letter and nobody else has. What if they are sending out "happy letters" first??? I will keep you all posted!!!

Honestly i was told none of the letters will be going out till hopefully the week of August 22nd. I think msRN012 is someone that's just teasing us. I do hope I'm wrong. I wouldn't get nervous about it if I were you guys. I know waiting is nerve wrecking especially since for the past 2 weeks they've been promising to get them mailed out in a few days and then change the date on us. It makes you excited and you start stalking the mail man only to find out that they've decided to delay things for another week. I hope this is over soon. :confused:

heyy i applied june 30th too and i have personally talked to Dr. Lewis..NO letters have gone out and they are hopefully in the mail within the next week or two. sorry MsRN2012..you lie! its not fair that all of us are nervous and waiting on letters and you have to make believe that you got a letter already...NOT COOL

I was looking thru my info and gettin in is based on a 100 pt system: 60 pts for a gpa of 3.8-4 and they take anatomy 1&2 , micro, English119 and bio grades to get ur gpa or ur cumulative with co-reqs included which ever is higher ...10 pts for 90 -100,on reading part on the teas 8 pts for 80-89 6 pts for 70-79 4 pts for 60-69& 2.5 for 50-59, and then they add same pts for the math part..10 pts for taking all classes there, 5 pts for having health care experience and a license 2.5 if u only have a license (cpr licence counts) 5 pts for having ur coreq done 2.5 for having half done
