WCCCD Fall 2008 Waiting!

Published

I figure we might as well go ahead and start a thread for those of us who are waiting for our letters to come....

I was looking through back postings and in 2006 letters were received July 13th and in 2007 letters were received June 26th...Boy is that a broad range of time to determine when letters will come....I think they do it on purpose to try to drive us all mad LOL

So, how is everyone holding up during this waiting process. I think the unknown is the worst thing possible. I am trying to stay positive and relaxed about this whole process, but it is becoming more difficult as the time draws nearer...

How are all of you coping with the stress of waiting? I've been doing a lot of graphic designing lately and delving myself deeply into my studies. I found the more involved I am with school, the faster the time goes by because of deadlines and such...(midterm is coming up next week) Can you believe this semester is almost half way over with?

Anyway, let's keep each other company while we all wait for the GOOD news! ;)

Virginia, I dont think anyone is suggesting one campus is better than the other....or that certain instructors teach at one specific campus. She was only asking which semester they were teaching at this Fall semester, at least that is what I assumed considering we are both starting the nursing program this Fall.

Personally, I am excited about the new NW campus and will be happy with either. I have heard that Matt S. is a great instructor and I know some who really love LD....I am impartial. :D

Congratulations on making it to your third semester WTG!!!!

Lol, I was not implying, that you were implying that one campus was better than the other:redbeathe. The OP did not mention in her post about the fall semester, so I just made a general statement about instructors and campuses. BTW..Matt is great but you will have to be you own judge (I am sure you are aware of that). Congrats on acceptance to the program and word of caution don't use the course catalog for nursing classes they are usually wrong, lol. Enjoy your summer!!

Oh I know all too well about making my own judgment LOL....One persons perception is not always going to be my perception. I have heard good and bad about almost every nursing instructor at WCCCD. One of my dearest friends just graduated and her and I have very similar dispositions so I tend to lean toward her perception more than others.

Like I stated before...my reply was based on the Fall schedule as it is now, which will more than likely change come lottery... Your not telling me anything I don't already know LOL. Definitely a good word of caution for those that are new to the college though...Although I don't think any college is without their flaws...

Just keeping my eye on the prize and not worrying about anything else! :coollook:

My sister and I are starting in the fall. I am so excited, nervous I just want to puke everytime I think about it.

So does anyone know how the lottery works?

Cute screen-name! I AM doing this without kids - kudos to those of you going to college and raising families:bow:.

I believe the lottery is just that - they draw names randomly and we get to select our locations, etc. as we are called. Those called first are more likely to get their first picks.
