Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

if you go to the worthpublishers.com homepage, click psychology (on top right) and then introductory psychology (again, top right) and scroll down to the bottom, you will see our book. select "go to site." all the info is there but i can't seem to access anything. it just loops and loops...

I think I found it.

I clicked on the tab that says student resources, then book companion site for our book, then the go to site button on the right.

Does that work for you?

i ended up doing an example outline so if we need an issue i'm covered and if we don't i have all the steps outlined... now all i need to do is cram all the vocab and stuff into my brain and i just might survive the first class... :uhoh3:

You are gonna be o.k. Our class assignment is to apply our strategy to an issue in the book. All you need to do is write a draft outline of a possible strategy that you could use. Did you look at mine last night? I am using the strategy of Random Sampling.

I apologize. I have heard from many of your class mates. This syllabus I "inherited" so I am surfing through it too. I will be adjusting this syllabus for the class, but for now, what you will need to do is think of a research/study project in a small group to discuss. Then the group will decide on one of the ideas to do as a project. The example I have given to others is to observe how many people return grocery carts to the rack compared to those who did not. Then compile and report your findings to the class. I will clarify tomorrow, and will give some time in small groups. I hope that helps. The syllabus was designed for the 16 week class at main campus, not for the 5 week class. See you tomorrow.

Well, now I've done two outlines.

I did a general outline that can apply to any subject and then I chose

a very basic question that a small group could do at school and wrote a brief outline on how to perform the research.

I'm so tired of stressing about this first class!

What have you all done for the assignment?

TIB-- I didn't get a chance to see what you had written for your assignment for psych last night...I'm still so confused. I just wrote out a procedure list...like...Theory, Hypothesis, Indep. Variable, Dependent Variable, Random Assignment, etc. etc. I didn't use a specific topic though. But then after I read his email you posted, I was totally confused again!! Is mine like yours or did you do more?

It sounds like you did exactly what I did. I also did a quick outline based on the shopping cart thing. I'm not going to worry about it anymore.

for those of you who went tuesday night- what was it like? how many breaks? did you bring dinner with you? was it cold inside?
