Watts School of Nursing June

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Does anyone know how much MOC costs? I will have to take all of the pre-reqs. I just got my financial aid letter today and I am pretty much on my own.

I was released from two classes, but I think my tuition was around $7200.

Seems like I remember seeing somewhere it's $380 per credit hour.

Don't quote me, but that's what I remember.

Are you going the private loan route also?

It is $ 380 a credit so if youredoing all the classes then it's $ 9500.

Tib... What do you mean youre on your own? You dont qualify for any federal aid?

With my Pell Grant and the federal loans it wont even cover half. I will most likely get a private loan. I think Wells Fargo is 3.5%. Anyone find anything better?

I don't know about you, TIB, but my federal aid was pocket change!

No help there!

And to my understanding, even though Watts is a lot more, the federal

aid loan amount doesn't change.

Books are not included.

I only came across 10% for private loans.

I'd take the 3.5!

Whats up with the index rate? Wells fargo says you can get a loan for as little as 3.4 but when you apply they add on the index rate. It comes out to be 6.7%. So much for having excellent credit.

Does anyone know if the federal direct loans are a fixed rate or variable?

Lady- my wife is going to school, so we're kinda getting proficient at this loan thing... lol...

Ah-I see!

I've been loan shopping too, so hopefully I'll be prepared ahead of time, since my meeting is so late in the game. I really hope that financial aid would cover something... Anything!!!
