Watts School of Nursing June

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

Hey guys!! I love the idea of this whole BSN deal but my only concern is that I'm already having to dip into my pocket --pretty deep-- to pay each semester as it is and if I take on summer classes too then it would cost me even more, unless they up the financial aid available for us...have you asked that question? I would totally do it if the money was available.

I haven't asked **** about the option for F.A. However, I don't see why there wouldn't be any available. I don't know. Right now I'm just trying to lobby for the option of doing it.

we would definitely be eligible for FA... it means a lot more having a BSN!!!! well money wise at least...

right...but what I'm saying is that I'm only eligible for a certain dollar amount a year....whether or not I go to summer school. And if that dollar amount doesn't increase then I would have to pay cash for all those summer classes.

From what I gather from my nursing buddies, RN's and BSN's make about the same...not a lot of difference, However...BSN's are often considered for positions before the RN's. All of that is usually trumped by experience anyway so it doesn't matter at all. My whole thing is get it....and if I decide to continue on, then I have that option.

from what i gather some hospitals use not having a BSN for not giving a decent raise!!!

if i'm not going to school over the summer i don't get any VA funding, so it actually would benefit me more to go during the summer!!!!!

I've heard the same thing as Tar - BSN, RN, all the same. What counts

is experience and who you know. There's no way I can afford any more classes

or books right now!! I'm too old for more classes - need to get to work before I have to retire!
