hi all,

does anyone live near watsonville, CA on the monterey coast? know of any details about the town, hospital, L&D unit, anything that can help me decide if i'd like to go there! please, i know nothing about the place. thanks,

amy

Artichoke capital of the world. Don't know anything else about it. Just lots of farmland when you drive thru it.

Hello,

I have been in Watsonville visiting because I worked at Sta Cruz Dominican Hospital as a travelling nurse last year for 11 months. Watsonville Hospital according to my friend is okay, they have CNA to help.

Monterey is a beautiful place to visit, especially the coastline.

Are you gonna travel there as a travelling nurse.

if they ever call me back to offer me the job, i will be going as a travel nurse. just playing the waiting game now. interesting to know it's farmland. helps me paint a better picture of the town. california is so diverse. i've spent 13 weeks in the mojave desert before and that was not fun. by the way, while i'm here, has does anyone know anything about hollister, CA and hazel hawkins hospital? that's another option. thanks so much,

Comparing Watsonville and Hollister, Hollister is more country and lesser in population. Watsonville is bigger and yes it is farmland but its geographical location to Monterey Peninsula and San Jose is not to far. To Monterey it is about 45 minutes, beautiful place, go to the 17 mile drive, pebble beach, Carmel where Clint Eastwood become mayor, you could go Dolphin Watching. If you want to go to San Francisco about 2 hours away.

thanks to everyone for your valuable info so far.
