Question about Aberdeen Gray's Harbor ADN program

Is anyone familiar with Gray's Harbor College in Aberdeen, WA? I'm applying there for their AA nursing program fall 2018. I was wondering if anyone knew the acceptance rate, what the environment and program is like, and if it's really that dangerous of a place to be?

I use to live in Montesano which is near Grays Harbor-Aberdeen. My sons started community college there and I have only taken 1 course form them. They are good in that it is a community college. The place is not dangerous and their nursing program is real good, you will get a wide variety of cases and then some due to the prison there which is an infectious disease prison, they sometimes end up at Grays Harbor Hospital.

The area is chronically depressed so to many of us it is a way of life you make do with what you have. There are a lot of very great people who live in this area, I think Tacoma is more dangerous.

I know a couple people who went through that program and you can easily drive out of the area to hang out in other places on the weekend easily. It can get depressing due to the lack of activities available and weather during the Fall/Winter. I think it's doable for a couple of years. If you have a car you won't be isolated there. Practice common sense as you would anywhere and you will be fine.

I applied there for the Fall as well! I called this week and letters will be sent out by the end of next week. Let us know when you get your letter!

Congrats to you! How exciting! I got accepted as well! However, I forfeited my spot. I have been accepted to Lower Columbia College RN program, which was my first choice. So i will be going there. Best of luck to you and cheers to getting into nursing school!!
